Playing musical chairs with executives is not getting things together. That's the opposite of getting it together.Glad DC is taking steps to get it together.
The movie was nothing like BVS or MOS.Yeah, agreed. What did the public say to make JL become so negative? Based on what I heard from a friend, the movie was similar to BVS.
Wait, that's the extent of the changes?Playing musical chairs with executives is not getting things together. That's the opposite of getting it together.
Maybe. But more likely just an over reaction to BVS.I’m still convinced the tonal shift in Suicide Squad’s development was a direct reaction to Guardians of the Galaxy and how well it was received.
Been saying this shyt for yearsYes. In DC Comics, he relaunched/revamped the Justice League in 2011 with Cyborg as a "founding member". Prior to that, Cyborg was predominantly known as a Teen Titan.
I don't recall Shazam in the original comic relaunch, but he was in the animated movie version.. but the animated movies were based off Geoff's relaunched league stories and Shazam/Billy was used as a means to give Cyborg someone to talk to in those films. Cyborg had been all but neglected in Geoffs comic version. Basically watchtower/janitor duty status.
A lot of people (including myself) feel that Johns was looking for a commercial Justice League team (cartoons, games, eventual movies, etc) and wanted to keep Hal Jordan (b/c that's "his guy") but he knew he couldn't have nothing but white people on the team, not when audiences were used to Stewart specifically, so he swapped out Martian Manhunter with Cyborg to fill that diversity quota, in hopes there wouldn't be any heat or backlash for Hal's inclusion. His poor writing and handling of Stewart in the comics is a sour spot for many John Stewart readers (myself included) and that was before 2011.
Dude told me the pacing was shyt. BVS was like that, in a way.The movie was nothing like BVS or MOS.
Justice League is a stitched together Frankenstein film made up of scenes by two different directors.Dude told me the pacing was shyt. BVS was like that, in a way.
Yes.Wait, that's the extent of the changes?
It's even worse because they are set up movies to things that won't happen or have been changed.I cant fukk with the fact that half the movies the DCEU feel like set up movies, but in always gonna support comic movies so they continue to get put out. I dont think the approach thet did was horrible, but their execution sure as hell was. Being 5 movies in and the biggest villain names you pulled out are Ares and Zod? I feel like Aquaman's gonna do well because theyre putting so much effort into making him a bad-ass. All I really want id a Red Hood and The Outlaws or Static Shock movie
Even Deathstroke was supposed to be in Affleck's Batman. No telling the next time we see him now. It's even worse because they are set up movies to things that won't happen or have been changed.
I think we will. The feedback has been overwhelmingly positive about that scene.Even Deathstroke was supposed to be in Affleck's Batman. No telling the next time we see him now.
