You forgot to mention Mahomes is losing these prime time games...
Can’t blame him too much when the team is averaging 33 a game

watson takes this first round but I think as the chiefs get healthy they’ll come out on top

I'm absolutely flabbergasted that most people can't see past the surface. Watson is the better player and will prove it for the next 10-15 years. There is a different magic to him, like Mahomes I see all the sizzle, but you don't feel the magic. Chiefs were down with half a quarter left and you don't get this sense that if Mahones has the ball last it's over...

Texans are down, you typically always have the impression Watson can win the game. That drive for the winning score, especially the way they moved the ball today, you just know Deshaun gonna win it...

It wasn't either of their best games but I'm shocked more people can't feel the difference between the two...

By the time his career is over he's gonna be on that GOAT tier, there's something different about this one!

This is all in your head.

Mahomes played better today, even on an injured ankle; Watson had the luxury of the players around him, particularly on defense, putting the team in a better position of winning. You wouldn't even be posting this right now if you swapped their respective defenses.

@Gil Scott-Heroin he definitely didn't outplay Watson today. I'm not accepting no pity parties for Mahomes today...
It's not about "pity parties", it's about observing what actually went on inside the lines. This thread is trial balloon propaganda - I mean, it didn't take long for you to reveal your true colours, post-match. You say that you're "flabbergasted" that folks can't see past the surface, when it's really you who can't see past the surface of your own agenda; to see something as simple as Mahomes almost single-handedly keeping his team in the game, whilst his defense was doing anything but. Whereas the pieces all around Watson were helping him out.

That was the difference in this game: Watson had an actual defense, and Mahomes didn't even have something that resembled one. This nonsense about how you don't feel the magic when it comes to Mahomes, is only narrative-fodder for your belief that the game is simply QB v. QB. I can guaran-damn-tee that if you flipped their respective defenses, the Chiefs would've won, and you would be in here talking about bu-bu-but Watson's defense lost them the game.

Lotta conjecture here...

Your boy got the ball back down a touchdown with half a quarter left. Got it back and went three and out, and this is after having a 17-3 lead earlier and losing by a touchdown, that's a 21-point swing...

But the defense is responsible for failed offensive execution? KC defense is taking the blame for Mahomes completing only 54% of his passes?

It's a good thing I actually watched the game, because if I didn't, I'd think Mahomes wasn't leaving points on the field again and played a perfect football game...

You Mahomes guys can't even try to be objective?

Someone said they both were meh:mjlol:

There were 3 passes to Houston receivers that would have been TDs and about 75 yds added to Watson's total and not gone against his completions, had they not been dropped IN the receivers hands (Including Hopkins) would have been minus an int also

Exactly. Fuller dropped THREE touchdown passes today. THREE.

There’s always an excuse for Mahomes :mjlol:

Bruh, its unbelievable. Muhfukkas tryna convince me I was watching a different game---->they do this any time there is any criticism on Mahomes...

And here's the thing, Watson didnt play a perfect game either. Particularly, the 2nd pick in the goal line when he tried to force it to Hop in double coverage was bad...

But nobody watching that game today can have the takeaway that Mahomes outplayed Watson...
