Was Technotronic "Pump Up The Jam" dope or corny to you growing, old heads?

As an old Brooklyn street cat, it was wild corny. But like a poster said, it’s cool now because it’s nostalgic and my music taste has grown.
I never knew this wasn't even meant for the US market, was supposed to be for Belgium, Netherlands and Luxemburg clubs.

Ya Kid K still sounds exactly the same, it's amazing

Get ya booty on the floor tonight

Make my day

It was aiight. I listened to 98% Hip Hop at the time and for the entire 90s.

Early 2000s I actually got my hands on a bunch of classic R and B albums and I was converted. I still LOVE Hip Hop but I now really appreciate Funk Soul Gospel Jazz and of course R and B.

Anyway. Pump Up the Jam would have never made it in the tape deck or CD player. But since it's kinda still going strong, I respect it.
