But what needs to asked is who gave the Zoroastrians the concept of one god? I think people tend to think because something has a lot of one thing, or others, that the smallest thing is not that powerful but, that isn't how things go. One small thing could be more powerful then a lot of the larger things. You see this in nature as far as the chemicals in plants, and even the human body.I've said before that the abrahamic religions seem to have mixed things from Zoroastrianism as well as Egypt.
The monotheistic concept of God in judaism however has much more in common with Zoroastrian beliefs than it does with the the monotheism proposed by akhenaten.
I think somewhere this concept of one god was so big, that it changed the world. As it spread out people just adapted to it and incorporated it into their belief systems. This could be why we see so many different religions but, most of them have the same concept of one god. The thing is who created this concept, and is it "good". Was it the "the evil one"? We know it is an egotistical being, and wants all praise given to him. We also see the fruits of these religions are not really that good. If the belief system was so powerful, why is the world so messed up? If God is so powerful, there would be no need to give praise, you see its works all around you, and manifested in different ways. Living a peaceful, and harmonious life, is how you give praise to this all powerful being because you don't cause destruction and chaos to the world it gave to you to experience.
