The movie overall was just ok. It wasn't excellent and it wasn't horrible. Just felt like the storyline wasn't as solid as I would have liked.

I can see why people are feeling like it was too heavy at times and a lot of the stuff in the camps.

I just wasn't expecting to be this invested in it that whole movie had me in my feelings from jump

Damn I loved these movies. I'm rewatching Dawn on FX and I forgot how close Koba was to Caesar and River. I kinda wish they would have kept Koba in good graces with the apes and had someone else be a traitor. He's an interesting character.

Crazy how they built up these cgi apes so well, shyt is more touching then some of these real actors

Caesar avoided killing him in order to prevent himself from becoming Koba. Think a part of Caesar might feel guilty that the disease got the general and his son also.

i got that part and I respect his judgement, his wisdom and everything weighing on him... and yeah killing him would make him like Koba
part of me hoped he'd be like fukk it :whatmoney: and lit his ass up
it shows what that his moral compass is good though, so it was still satisfying to me.

Yeah had he gone down that route, it would've sullied it a bit for me. Also that ending was foreshadowed beautifully and him not doing it may be more than just showing he's good but that he's also superior
