rappers don't have primes.
your skills don't errode,....
anyone who had a regression probably was a style era based rapper
who lacked a real technical rubrick that was masked by the styles era.
so, when a technical aptitude is required to rap in the next sonic landscape.
in the same way the technical revolution for emcee'n was brought about by nas.
the same way the sales spike era was ushered in by nas.
with the commercialized hook applied to his skillset and being the lead in the technical skill revolution.
those rappers who never had any real actual application of real rap technical skills will be exposed.
no really skilled rapper, who was technically adept is not really skilled right now.
even if they sold out but had an extremely skilled technical base.
they don't and should never need material wrote for them unless it is a hook.
the only reason the hook portion is given a pass.
is because that is where the dj/producer would make his cultural skill submission.
when, mobb deep ushered in the dawn of the vocal rap hook as a textbook application/submission/style
that opened up the avenue for rappers to be given credit for being an hookwriter.
where, that soon became a noteworthy and credible commercialized skill.
that proved how viable a commercial sale that artist would possibly be.

Rappers do have primes you clown

And skills are not just rapping but picking the right beats and saying shyt that people want to hear

You think 2003 TI and 2015 TI is the same rapper?

I don't mean actually writing everything for him I mean hooks and maybe tightening up a bar here or there. They're making music that needs to sell at a high rate. No different than movie and TV scripts that go through small re-writes to tighten them eventhough most of it was done by one guy. :yeshrug: I guess this is just more ammo for people to hate Drake to clown him and another opportunity to for stans to cape for him. I'm just saying this is common place in the industry. This stopped being some "for the love of the game" shyt when the big money got involved for better or worse.

You're working off pure assumption breh, until Jay Rock or Ab Soul takes partial credit for anything on TPAB we gotta take that with a grain of salt.

Meek accused Drake of borrowing a whole verse, and this ain't first time Drizzy got caught up about something like this. Having ghost writers on that level, on some Kanye/Dr. Dre shyt, it discredits his whole run.

96 pages so I'm sure it's been mentioned.... But what if Birdman leaked some info (maybe exaggerated) to Meek about Drake being a fake knowing damn well Meek has the audacity to come forth about it in the public eye.... To sabotage Wayne and Young Money? :ohhh:

I mean, with Meek dating Nicki too and him deleting her pictures (:mjlol:), it all makes too much sense. Birdman pulling the strings in the background, trying to prevent his big 3 from shining elsewhere knowing they'll eventually leave:lupe:

And to be honest some of Kendrick throwaways stick to his style, if Kendrick had dudes writing for him we would have shyt like that untitled song from Colbert in the album.

This isn't entirely true. Not any more, anyway.

"Fancy" flopped, Iggy Azalea was basically done. Clear Channel picked her and that song to play 126,000 times on various stations for a "project" called On The Verge.

After that she blew up.

If they don't go out of their way to force her down people's throats, she never has a hit. I know most of this board likes to believe talent = success but there's a lot of people that buy music based on repetition.

Fred.

that whole, on the verge project was basically.
the industry finding out how to make the failed l'trimm model work.
as an actual marketing/pr spreadsheet work based on sheer oversaturation with capital in this era.

iggy azalea = l'trimm

they basically are just runnind old playbooks by just throwing money at it.
with new wack principles, swapped out from the old ones.

Meek actually came from Hip hop...the other dude did not.
Meek from the hood....the other dude is not...
Meek was on DVDs battling...the other dude was on a white teen canada tv show
Meek was in Jail...the other dude was living a nice white life in a nice white country with no cares in the world.

why the fukk is the other dude even here?
What kinda dumb shyt is this? Why Meek went to jail he's more hip hop than Drake.

:mjlol:

Drake is a better rapper than Meek that's why he's here simple as that. :heh:

Im not talking about now you fukking idiot :snoop: . Im talking about back in 2011. nikkas wasnt taking the tuff talk "catch a body like that" talk from Drake serious at all and were actually getting agitated about it.

Then all of a sudden Drake started hopping on Rozay's tracks and spazzing, and nikkas starting warming up to it.
Ross did nothing for Drake if anything Drake made Aston Martin Music and Stay Schemin' what they are as his hook and verse are the most acclaimed parts of those songs.

Nobody takes "catch a body" serious to this day and nobody sees him as a tough guy. The streets still fukked with him because he made hot music. Drake came into the game with a co-sign from the hottest street rapper at his peak Lil Wayne as well as two hot street labels in Rap-A-Lot and Cash Money. In '09 Drake was already bigger than Ross and Meek at any point on any platform whether its streets, radio or the internet. Get real.

:manny: To each his own breh. The thought that Drake writes none of his own shyt is unrealistic to me. I think Meek is exaggerating like emotional nikkas tend to do.
