Is it really surprising though?

If you have a follow-up album released ~a year after your previous work and the material doesn't sound "dated" nor any kind of drop-off, I'm assuming you had writers.

Breh has 5 quality albums in 6 years, including features and mixtapes, while hitting tours and doing commercials, showing up at events, and having a ton of side ventures. No way anybody does that solo.

Even the most creative, artistic and musical of types who have synesthesia and absolute/perfect pitch can't generate that kind of content at that rate by themselves.

If meek don't lesk the reference track he a fakkit

I believe he did and someone else replied with who writes a lot of his verses.

But in the end does it matter? There are ghost writers all over hip hop forever... Delivery > Lyrics. I am not defending Drake or anyone who has rhymes written fro them, but why are people acting like Meek killed Drakes Career, is anyone surprised someone helps write for Drake? People help 98% of every artist out there with rhymes.

That's perfectly fine and crucial to progressing as an artist. If I sat in a room all alone and wrote my raps with zero outside input my whole career, it would not last very long. Kendrick has been rapping for a very long time, it doesn't surprise me Meek Mill shouted-him out despite them not fukking with each other that much. Kendrick definitely writes the vast majority of his work on his own, and gets criticism/input where needed.

I can't imagine anyone but Kendrick writing a song like u.

Ghostwriting is another story, but if I was an artist in Kendrick's position and had two exceptional lyricists in my camp (Soul and Rock) and one solid hook writer (Q) you bet your ass I'd look to them for help as much as possible.
:manny: That's perfectly fine to me too and that is mostly likely what Drake does too. I think people are mixing up Meek being hyperbolic with what just goes on in the industry.

Im not talking about now you fukking idiot :snoop: . Im talking about back in 2011. nikkas wasnt taking the tuff talk "catch a body like that" talk from Drake serious at all and were actually getting agitated about it.

Then all of a sudden Drake started hopping on Rozay's tracks and spazzing, and nikkas starting warming up to it.

:mjlol: a artist signed and affiliated with YMCM needs MMG cosign before he can start talking tough brehs

sooner than later it will dawn on people that Drake is a suburban wigger with whiteboy voice from Canada and he was never cool, :ohhh:, it's only so long fraudulence can survive. now is a perfect time for somebody new to come 50 Cent/DMX/Snoop Doggy Dogg the game .
Yall have been saying this for dakn near 6 year

The only people that type of narrative matters to is rap forum goers

The public only cares about fresh music that is dope

Nah, he never leaked the reference track. Just tweeted that he heard it, that's when he found out about Drake not writing his shyt. But he did tweet the name of the person who wrote it, Quentin Miller.
