Trip is a joke and a holier than thou fakkit. "Why don't you just get a better job :skip:"

Your retard ass kept voting for republicans like CHRIS CHRISTIE who gave MILLIONS in tax breaks to corporations in NEW JERSEY who not only didn't create a single job, they fired people.

It takes a really brave person to defend the rich and powerful :rudy:

Gov. Christie Hands Out Record Amount Of Corporate Tax Subsidies

You support clowns like this and then when Walmart workers, whose company makes 15 billion dollars in PROFIT and the owners have 95 billion dollars, ask for the minimum wage to be what it was in 1960 adjusted for inflation, which would cause ZERO DAMAGE to the business, you tell them to get a better job? Are they gonna press the "better job" button on their lives a$$hole?

The stoop with dat dope fanny padding
:ehh:

With benefits and depending where you're living that's pretty good. If you don't have a degree I'd say you did pretty damn well.

Thanks... Did some college never got degree and only have GED from high school... Once I had child I had to get my shyt together.

So like I said, started at Walmart as temp making 8.40 an hour and turned it into assistant manager position within 3 years making 40,000 a year. Then took that experience and got job with cvs making 45,000.

I hate retail but without a strong college background this seemed like an okay route.

So King Diesel here is a real life example of a guy who made better for himself working at Walmart and broke wave, who's clearly never left a classroom in his life has zero clue on how the real world actually operates. Professional studets man. Ugh

expecting retail to be a career when it requires zero skills isn't realistic. King diesel demonstrated what it takes to move up in such an environment. It's not impossible, it just takes effort.

:snoop: Even if everyone was as responsible and put in as much effort as King Diesel they can't all move up the ladder, you moron. This is basic math. You can't divide 1.4 million into 100,000 and come out with a whole number.

They're the largest employer in the country, so obviously there aren't all these other jobs out there waiting for people who are just willing to pull themselves up by their bootstraps.

You should be directing your righteous indignation at the company that is the largest employer in the nation, whose 6 heirs, who give less proportionately to charity than any anyone else on the Forbes list, own more wealth than the bottom 42% of the country and pay their employees artificially low wages; lower than what the market dictated by the companies they put out of business.

They give out costly healthcare benefits that don't cover anything and they keep a surplus of part-time employees so they can deny them even that. So those people then use government assistance, food stamps and Medicaid to get by.

Did you read anything in the article I posted? Wal-Mart: America's True Welfare Queen | Benzinga

Where is your conservative outrage over Wal-Mart draining the taxpayer and actively helping to grow the welfare state in this manner? Wal-Mart could easily increase wages and benefits, which would in turn increase millions of revenue in payroll taxes, get many of their workers off of food stamps, and stop driving up healthcare costs with virtually no effect on their bottom line. They are profiting off of driving down labor costs, keeping people in poverty and sucking off the government teet. They keep their employees on food stamps and Medicaid and collect 25-40% of food stamp expenditures.

I feel sorry for you. You're not even a conservative. You're a just brainwashed by corporate America.

You're twisting this into something I was never getting at. The thought process behind low totem retail being a career is where you're losing me. Walmarts shytty practices doesn't excuse the logic behind thinking you can just work a register and live a comfortable lifestyle.

:snoop: What are you talking about a "comfortable lifestyle" for? They're asking for what adjusted for inflation would be minimum wage 3 or 4 decades ago and health benefits so they don't have to live off of food stamps and Medicaid...from one of the most profitable corporations on the planet which also happens to be the largest employer in America. But yeah, fukk those ungrateful vermin for asking for handouts. :aicmon:

Wal-Mart is actively encouraging and contributing to the expansion of the welfare state and the entitlement mentality you conservatives deride so much. You're a classic ignorant right-winger who doesn't even realize he's not even conservative, but rather just an unknowing spokesman for the ugliest machinations of corporate America.

We still haven't defined livable wage. Should someone who's motivation is to sit at Walmart and work the register be a career? There needs to be incentive. Health benefits for retail workers? That's not wal marts obligation. Health benefits given out by corporations were designed to attract talent. What talent doesn't a retail worker provide that isn't looking to get ahead within?

So why don't you explain for us why Wal-Mart is the largest employer in the nation?

It shouldn't be that way and it doesn't have to be. That's the point.

:childplease:

What doesn't have to be what way? :scusthov:

It's called going to school and using the system the right way and working hard. Or going to a trade school or going to do hair for chriissakes. No one is making anyone work a shytty retail job.

The thing missing in this discussion is HARD WORK and Sacrifice.

Those are the two common threads in success. At least what I've seen myself. I'd rather speak from experience and things Ive really seen than hypothesizing.

If you know the nature of the semi corporate retail beast, why play with it?

No one is forced to work there?

I saw the organizers of this Walk out/boycott or whatever they trying to do, they can't even tell you what they really want.

You make demands when you're in a position of power. Not from a position of weakness. It's not like these people are irreplaceable. :what:

I can't blame Walmart for acting like a business. I'm not expecting them to give anyone anything. They know what it was when they filled out the application. They got through the door, now they want changes. OK, but my thing is get out of the way of the people who have no skillsets and are killing to just have that job.

While they out there picketing, there will be people walking past them to work.

I care less either way. I'm not arguing with anyone. I'm just saying that if you try to take a bone out of a pitbulls mouth while he's eating it, I'm not blaming the pitbull for biting you. It's ridiculous in this country how no one wants to take responsibility for their lives and actions.

"Waaaaaaah Walmart is acting like a retail business and doesn't care about me spending time with my family on the holidays because it's their busiest and most profitable days of the year waaaaaaaah I wanna stay home with my family."

So STAY HOME.

Just like the dumbasses out there right now standing in line to buy shyt. It's YOUR DECISION.
