Lol and that's walmarts fault? Take some responsibility for yourself and create value. Walmart isn't going to pay you 45k a year to scan items nor should they.
They don't need 45k, but stop acting like 12 or 13 dollars is unreasonable. Walmart could boost those salaries and barely see a dent in profits.
The shyt goes so deep because of the volume of people they hire. It has a direct effect on the economy. Their whole business model swallows upd most active small businesses with a year of the Walmart opening. So yea, they do have a responsibility to pay a decent wage.
But that's capitalism, and people love it raw and unregulated. They are the largest employer in the united states. 2.1 Million people work for them and they PROFIT over 15 Billion a year on over 400 Billion in sales.
All their competitors pay a higher wage, but they open up shop with the intention of putting other shops and stores out of business. They do it successfully and hire the workers for a much lower wage because they can.
I guess it's the American way.
