About 30 mins in. I was hyped for this. Marty on the beat and Bobby Cannavale as the lead. Glad he got this look. I thought he was crazy in Boardwalk Empire, didn't want to see him end up as a character actor for his whole career.

The soundtrack :wow:

Almost didn't recognize Ray Romano for a sec.

Everybody Loves Raymond. And Raymond Loves Cocaine. :krs:

Really liked it. Very cinematic, really felt like a Scorsese movie.

Ray Romano and the guy with the mutton chops were hilarious. The female wannabe A&R and the black soul singer’s storylines are the ones I’m most interested in. Only thing that might hold it back from being really great is that they might have too many plotlines going at once. Kinda similar to Boardwalk in that way.

Thought the thing that happened at the end of the episode was over the top but apparently it really happened that way in real life back in 73.

I’m mainly a hip hop guy so hopefully this puts me on to some 70’s music like The American’s did for me with 80‘s music.

I’m in for the season.

This show looks awful.

It feels like Martin Scorcese trying way too hard to relive/glorify his youth and drug-filled days in the 1970s.
