Anyone who disagrees with a single point (except pac) doesnt deserve an opinion on rap.

Everything he said is a fact, and if you disagree then it's cool, I respect your opinion, your musical preferences and everything, but we're not talking about opinions and preferences here, we're talking about facts.

joe budden also said he doesn't like kanye and kendrick music, but objectively speaking, they're making the absolute best music :wow:

AKA, this the best option the music industry is going to give you within the genre of music you listen to.

Objectivity is important but so is nuance.

And be clear I can't wait to hear Kendrick's new album and I love him just for the fact that he's a talented black man expressing himself honestly. All that other shyt is smoke and mirrors though.

Is he wrong? MMLP and the TES are cool albums with good songs but I can literally count on my fingers how many times I've revisited them as an adult. Eminem doesn't have a single album I can listen to for years/decade/etc like true GOAT candidates. I listen to something from Illmatic monthly. I revisit It Was Written all the time. Reasonable Doubt. The Blueprint. Amerikkka's Most Wanted. Supreme Clientele. Doomsday. The Fix. I could go on and on....

Eminem introduced me and a lot of people to horror core type shyt as kids. That shyt was hilarious, I loved trolling pop fans by reminding them Eminem was dissing their favorite artists. But then I realized those pop fans liked Eminem too. There was no real beef, it was all bullshyt. And looking back do I really want to listen to an album full of Backstreet Boys disses in 2017?
:jbhmm:

Do I want to listen to a breh talking about killing his mother while I ride in the whip?
:jbhmm:

In hindsight Em, 50, and other people in that era made POP rap. 50 made gangsta pop rap. Em made horrorcore pop rap. That shyt didn't last. They never evolved as artists. And while Em still sells well thanks to cacs nobody in the rap world gives a fukk unless he got a Rihanna hook.

Yeah, Eminem's not influential because his clothing brand didn't pop...fukk actually influencing the way people rap, including the supposed best rapper alive (in the music industry) and an entire niche of Hip Hop that exists completely outside of the confines of the crooked cock sucking music industry.

tbh Kanye and kendrick have this decade (2010-2019) on lock as far as straight musical quality go, and I'm not that big on them anymore. I can be objective enough to admit they're far better than the rest of them.

And like someone said before, the only people who would disagree are those not listening to enough music, or those who feel insecure about their favorite artist not getting that kind of praise...but ti's all about who make the best music.

This nikka Vince Staples is funny :lolbron:
He's not lying (except for the Tupac thing but I'm assuming he means only Biggie) about Eminem though.

Listening to tpab right now, It's crazy how everything about his music is meticulously thought :jbhmm:

Kanye, kendrick, the roots make me reconsider rap music in general :jbhmm:
more and more artists and musicians are putting it in their top 5, and not just in rap music, and I'm slowly starting to understand why

I used to enjoy the album but nothing more, but the deeper you dig into music and the last 70 years of black music, the more you understand how amazing this shyt is.
