Education, books, room and board, gourmet meal plans, free transportation, fancy hotels, etc. That's easily 100 racks and above for 4 year players
Everybody isn't on scholarship though.

And those ppl wouldn't be the ones getting paid....Everybody isn't on scholarship though.
fukk you and your CAC logic. Athlete work hard as fukk and typically earn a useless degree, all while generating millions for the university. Your typical CAC student studying accounting is actually a net negative towards the campus' budget and should therefore pay. Stop rehashing shyt arguments to hide your racial resentment.i agree with paying for athletes but y'all acting like they are modern day slaves.
d1 n1ggas live like kings on campus for 3-5 years. not to mention not graduating with 30k of student loans having to make $500 monthly payments and shyt.
in addition, bball and football (and to a lesser extent, baseball) are the money generating sports.yeah, places like alabama / lsu / ohio state and them blue bloods prob could afford to pay ALL their athletes. but what about mens golf at Kent St or some shyt?? volleyball at davidson?
and the argument in the OPis dumb. yeah, most likely dudes are gonna blow straight thru their money like military dudes when they get their stripends and buy mustangs and shyt. Thats what young guys do...
It isn't, no matter how many times you retype this drivel.Education, books, room and board, gourmet meal plans, free transportation, fancy hotels, etc. That's easily 100 racks and above for 4 year players
Then they should stop paying coaches 10s of millions .NCAA study finds all but 20 FBS schools lose money on athletics
Yea let's pay all these student athletes when only 20 schools are making money from their athletic departments. Great idea fellas.
I don't know shyt about how universities work huhMost of these schools are losing money I though most people knew that.
Plenty of college students work full time jobs to pay their own wayhttp://www.businessinsider.com/college-student-athletes-spend-40-hours-a-week-practicing-2015-1
Study: College athletes are full-time workers - USATODAY.com
Why being a college athlete is a full-time job
College football and basketball is equivalent to a full time, not part time, job. But keep burying your head in the sand @JALEN HURTS
Shut the fukk up CAC.So an athlete being lazy and not taking advantage of any education he chooses is a reason to pay players?
40 hours in season is obviously counting the weekend. So like I said 5-6 hours a day. As u see if u keep reading the article. What am I missing?http://www.businessinsider.com/college-student-athletes-spend-40-hours-a-week-practicing-2015-1

The poor see themselves not as an exploited proletariat but temporarily embarrassed millionaires.Because america does a masterful job of "those" americans (white people) feel like one day they can be the corporation and all the rules in plays to help the corporations will help them...
They realize it...they just think they can somehow rise above it...and they feel when they do...they want the same benefits that all the people who benefit from it now get
It's not freeTheir free education, housing and meals is worth hundreds of thousands.

The only difference is they're not attending these universities for free unlike the punk athletes
