Hate to see one of the young stars go out on a shyt FIELD IN A FOREIGN COUNTRY who don't give a shyt about football in the team's season opener! Goodell you fukking c*nt!

This is 100% on the greed of the NFL if Jordan Love is out for a significant amount of time. That field was worse than the field where Mostert's season was ended a few years back.

Then, on top of all of that, you're a brand ambassador for a billion dollar organization--which leads to other organizations wanting you to be their face, like Mahomes for state farm, Allen for Gillette, Lamar for the special olympics and the connections he built there through his participation coming up due to his down syndrome diagnosis, etc.

:laff:

You snuck this in there and some people still dapped the post!!

like seriously...

If Mahomes or Allen get a 50M contract as an example...what gives teams the idea that your Cousins, Kyler and Lawrence level QBs deserve $45-49M? (random numbers). It doesnt make sense. Meanwhile if you paid those QBs something more commensurate like $35-40M you could supplement the offense or even defense with much better talent elsewhere. shyt is assinine

You mean to tell me that Baker Mayfield should be making more money than Tyreke Hill? :mjlol:
I said a few years back that Chiefs should be in a great shape as soon as all the other young QBs start getting their contracts. Gives the Chiefs a huge advantage having the best QB while not paying him the most money. I've always thought if I didn't have a potential top 5 QB that I'd trade em and load up on picks and try to hit in the draft or sign a medium priced veteran.

Hurts low iq is gonna kill this team in the biggest moments. Dude has arguably the most stacked offense in the league and has been mid the last 19 games.

Breh, guy was at Alabama with all of that talent and Tua eventually overthrew him for the QB spot.

He's big, athletic, but he's never going to be the best QB in the NFL.

Signing him up for the long term and earlier than the rest was the best move they could've done. The cap will go up and eventually he'll be the best deal in sports outside of Ohtani on the Dodgers.

I swear the Dodgers already made the money back they spent on him.

Yes. Without a doubt.
The job of the NFL quarterback is one of the most unique in professional sports. They work side by side with the offensive coordinator starting as soon as their season ends to determine the playbook for the next season--be it concepts, philosophy, plays that did/didn't work, personel groupings, etc. That information directly impacts draft strategy and free agency. The QB is expected to be in lock step with the organization the entire time, learning the playbook that they are creating, meshing with new weapons, deciding who is cut.
Then there is the playing of the game itself, where that command of the playbook is expected to be implemented by directing traffic, and distributing the ball--which brings in a level of politics. Feed the diva, or cast him off, like Diggs in Buffalo: Buf is willing to eat 30 million this year because Diggs was rocking this apple cart.
When you blend all that with the fact that anyone who wants this job has been subjected to TBIs since they were 5 years old, the available pool of people that can step in and lead one of these teams is very, very, very small on a global scale. 50% of teams make the playoffs so of course some non-greats will get in, but the best of the best will always be some of the last teams standing. But somone like Baker did a shytload of work to get that team to where they were last year. Didn't they make the divisional round? That's an impressive showing for any team.
While reek is on a podcast talking about how he wants to be in pornography, Baker is working with the coach and GM on which wide receivers should be resigned and which ones should be allowed to walk. If anything Baker is underpaid.
