Injuries suck

NFL need to reconsider having games on that field. At least get a field suitable for football.

I don't see how they can do it while committing to playing at international soccer fields. Those fields are signed for smaller, faster guys...not 300 pound linemen. Personally I don't think the NFL gives a shyt about the conditions, they just care about putting the project in front of as many people they can. To me though...imagine being a Brazilian in that stadium who showed up out of curiosity. Only to be subjugated to a 4 hour sludge fest of constant stoppages of play and delays due to flags being thrown everywhere. There's nothing appealing about this to someone used to watching the constant momentum of a soccer game.

Ultimately I think the real appeal of international games is getting US miliary members serving abroad to show up and have fun. We have nearly 40,000 US troops in Germany for instance. 10k in the UK. Easy to sell out games over there off that plus Americans going on vacation, with just a few locals showing up.

like seriously...

If Mahomes or Allen get a 50M contract as an example...what gives teams the idea that your Cousins, Kyler and Lawrence level QBs deserve $45-49M? (random numbers). It doesnt make sense. Meanwhile if you paid those QBs something more commensurate like $35-40M you could supplement the offense or even defense with much better talent elsewhere. shyt is assinine

You mean to tell me that Baker Mayfield should be making more money than Tyreke Hill? :mjlol:

It's amazing that they have all these analytics guys in the league who can not figure this out.

Hope Love is OK. As far as Hurts with the turnovers, that fumble was not on him but those 2 picks definitely were, terrible decisions, he gotta get that under control.

Against better defenses, Saquon can NOT run out of the shotgun all game and be effective week after week, that only works in college. Get that man a head full of steam and he will cook, his burst is godly.

Green Bay made some plays but that defense looked shaky, granted it was the 1st game, but that was the issue they had most of last year, they looked lost at times. They had chances on offense but between the field conditions and drops, they couldn't capitalize.

Philly's defense may not be as good as it has in the past but the rookie DB looks promising and Baun played his as off. They looked better against the run than they did the 2nd half of last season but still too many missed tackles. But I'll chalk most of that up to rust.

Lastly, the NFL gotta do something about these penalties, especially the illegal formation penalties, the refs control the game way too much.

Game was fire. Felt like a Playoff Game the crowd was wild. I checked the game thread a few times and saw my Birds fans jumping out the window, lol. It's the 1st game guys, they were going to look rusty. J Love and the Pack really picked up where they left off. Sadly the Birds did too and started off sloppy. Then something just clicked. They looked like a damn Super Team out there. Sequon went off. AJ Went off, Devonta almost had 100. The Offense just exploded. As I said before the game, I was worried about the Defense because they are mostly young.

But they did show some good things. That Field was WORST than the Super Bowl against the Chiefs. Both teams were slipping and sliding. Obviously I hope J Love pulls through his injury, sucks to get hurt with less than 30 seconds left. Overall I like what I saw. Jalen is a true warrior, he never got upset or rattled by his mistakes. He just kept pushing. The Eagles needed that win after the way they finished last season. First game in South America in NFL History and came back with a W. This could very well open the door for a NFL Game in Africa. Next up Kurt Cousins and the new look Falcons.

3 TD's (should had 4) and over 132 Total Yards in his first game, DAMN SAQUON!!!!!!!

Yes. Without a doubt.
The job of the NFL quarterback is one of the most unique in professional sports. They work side by side with the offensive coordinator starting as soon as their season ends to determine the playbook for the next season--be it concepts, philosophy, plays that did/didn't work, personel groupings, etc. That information directly impacts draft strategy and free agency. The QB is expected to be in lock step with the organization the entire time, learning the playbook that they are creating, meshing with new weapons, deciding who is cut.
Then there is the playing of the game itself, where that command of the playbook is expected to be implemented by directing traffic, and distributing the ball--which brings in a level of politics. Feed the diva, or cast him off, like Diggs in Buffalo: Buf is willing to eat 30 million this year because Diggs was rocking this apple cart.
Then, on top of all of that, you're a brand ambassador for a billion dollar organization--which leads to other organizations wanting you to be their face, like Mahomes for state farm, Allen for Gillette, Lamar for the special olympics and the connections he built there through his participation coming up due to his down syndrome diagnosis, etc.
When you blend all that with the fact that anyone who wants this job has been subjected to TBIs since they were 5 years old, the available pool of people that can step in and lead one of these teams is very, very, very small on a global scale. 50% of teams make the playoffs so of course some non-greats will get in, but the best of the best will always be some of the last teams standing. But somone like Baker did a shytload of work to get that team to where they were last year. Didn't they make the divisional round? That's an impressive showing for any team.
While reek is on a podcast talking about how he wants to be in pornography, Baker is working with the coach and GM on which wide receivers should be resigned and which ones should be allowed to walk. If anything Baker is underpaid.
