I actually watched when he said it. He tried too hard to "relate" then the short hair woman who presses Trump tried to make it a Twitter issue. It wasn't that serious. shyt wasn't serious at all

I wasn't talking down on you bruh

Maybe I'm extra c*nty cause of this lockdown.

But that do it for your big mama shyt..doesn't sit right..

I think he was trying to speak to people that refuse to stay in the crib. He was trying to relate. He wasn't speaking to "upper class" or "middle class" black people. I've never called my grandma big mama but his point was that the youth are not taking this seriously. He showed his age. Trump had issue with him last week or the week before. I was watching when he said it. It wasn't his intention. Now if Ben Carson said it then I'd feel differently

High key people still out. It doesn't scare me. High key I'm ready to go back to work:ld:

I've put myself in danger enough. This ain't shyt:unimpressed:

This is particularly funny because David Dennis is an Uncle Tom who panders against black men.

We have people in here applauding white men for stating the obvious (“we have systemic issues regarding health care towards black people in this country” :skip:) and giving you ZERO solutions. Tell us something we don’t know, Fauci and Cuomo. Cuomo has the ability to pump billions into the black community for healthy living and he hasn’t done it. And he won’t do it.

But we’re calling a black man a c00n for giving you an actual suggestion or solution to safeguard your own health.

They aren’t magically going to drop A1 health facilities and organic supermarkets in the hood tomorrow. However, you can exercise and stop drinking or smoking this very second if you want to live longer.

I don't see the reason for the outrage. It seemed to be pretty straight forward to me.:manny:

It's worthwhile listening to what Van Jones said here, he said it a lot better:

The reality is that minorities need help from every angle, but ultimately black people need to help black people more. The fried food/chicken/seafood shop doesn't need to be there. If you have the money to create those types of restaurants, then build a salad bar instead, a juice bar, a more healthier food store - but we won't because we know that's not black people's 1st choice of food.

If you love grandma's soul food on Sunday's, change the narrative and make soup together for the whole family. Don't commercialise the whole "cookout" thing which is based on grilling meat.

Even on this site when you say you eating x type of food that's not black you get tagged with a "c00n" or "boogie" food, etc...

That's just food, we forgetting about the drink and the smoking side, but that's another story. I love food but I have so many different choices of food to not only go out and buy but cook. Get a vegan cook book and give it to your aunty and mum and let them get the blood pressure and heart disease down...

Edit* I changed my original post, wasn't constructive

Did he say “white people need to stop doing meth & kid napping kids?”

But that is not the current point, we're talking about COVID-19 and the high rates of death in the black community considering we have such a small percentage in the US.

Why do we need to keep doing "what about-isms" when a black person is talking to black people and saying we can do better. Do we want a white man to say it? A Mexican?

No disrespect toward you, breh. It's not your fault. Certain people seem to be very invested in fostering just this kind of confusion, i have to talk my mom down about this kinda shyt everyday and i don't consider her dumb.

It's all in the framing. I watched the whole press conference live. Never let people bite-size shyt for you, esp in this era, esp re: a pandemic. Primary sources all day, no edits. :usure:
That's how "The Russians" and people like Tariq Nasheed can have theses Simple Simon ass nikkas follow behind them on some Pied Piper shyt. Like you said, there are people vested in muddying the waters and fostering confusion. I couldn't have said it any better. Muthaphuckas are allowing themselves to get played and manipulated left, right, and center. Think for yourselves and stop getting your marching orders from the herd.

I agree with the statement. I just think its something that need to be said amongst us,not for the world to see. If he would have said that on a “black platform/podcast/black Tv channel” then i wouldn't have any issues. The other races sitting back like

When they in the same damn boat. We got problems, every one of our problems the media/hollywood puts our problems on a microscope. While other races got just as much problems as us. The other races in media, hollywood, etc are

fakkit nikka probably shares his wife with his dog. Taking about the community most black folks live in like they weren't designed with these gaping holes to begin with.

Addressing the symptoms and not the cause is these fakkit's favorite pastime.

In one thread they cry about being so highly affected and unaddressed but then complain and talk down to people who specifically address them and give sound advice.
