They play the games and watch the kid friendly versions of them on YouTube. It’s for kids. Why shouldn’t it be? Why cater to adults like there’s a lack of adult oriented fantasy? Not everything has to be ceded to millennials and GenZ
What the dude you replied to said didn't have to do much with kids, it was just hemophilia and racism

I don't think things need to be lesser quality because it's for kids

A lot of talking in here but essentially Marvel is making movies for characters no one gives a fukk about except hardcore comic fans. Captain Marvel is not a fukking draw. Shang Chi, Morbius :mjlol:

Like the formula was make movies with your big hitters. Fill in the rest with some lesser knowns. Making this shyt difficult for no reason.
Neither was Captain America, the Guardians, or Iron Man

They should have gone straight into Fantastic Four after Endgame.

Recast T’challa, bring Blade into the picture earlier, and start planting the seeds for X-men.

Also, Love and Thunder never should have happened. That joint should have been a Thor versus Beta Ray Bill movie.
They have planted seeds for Xmen......spoiler.

These were very recognizable characters to even the layman. You can’t say Iron Man and Cap weren’t well known. Maybe in the comic world they fell off but they’re two of Marvels biggest IPs ever. I’ll give you Guardians but they fit the formula…lesser knowns in between your stars to fit a narrative. They fit the cosmic roles.

The problem is

Avengers story BEEN OVER.

Since Endgame.

They fukced up when they tried to keep running with it like it was a money tree that they could shake endlessly.

Not superhero movies in general, but kept pushing Avengers like they been doing Star Wars. With similar, shytty results.

After Endgame.. maybe flesh out the Spiderman series while they had the opportunity. Even go all the way in with Venom and these other Spider villains they tryna make movies for (the difference, include Spiderman).. but let the overall Avengers shyt rest.

Guardians 3 was legit. No Way Home was tight. In retrospect, every other series or flick was the middle of mid, at best.

Just like the Infinity Saga, their next move should have been starting from the beginning with a different group. X Men, for instance. I know the timing was tricky but they could have even froze EVERYTHING once they got the Fox properties and worked on the new series.

If they could have stopped Avengers and restarted with X Men. Even a couple years later that shyt would have killed the game AGAIN.
If they didn't have the X-Men issues with legacy contracts

I woulda had one group of movies/shows lead to an x men flick and the other group lead to avengers and then an avengers vs x men movie

61% male even tho disney has been shoving strong forced female leads down our throats (pause) we still show up unlike the audience they pander for.

When will these execs get it through their heads that scoring good point on twitter means nothing for their bottom line. Make a good story and it wont matter if it's a female or male lead.

ALL WE WANT IS A GOOD STORY.

they fukked it up themselves

Exactly it's like the execs have forgotten that people go to the cinema to be entertained

The characters selected is not the problem it's the poor product they're placed in

Moviegoers instantly had reason to see them on film bc they cared about those characters and they knew of them. Character recognition important. Marvel didn’t take in money catering only to hardcore fans. Use your recognizable IP, not whatever the fukk they doing now

At some point, people gotta stop harping on the narrative that bringing in the X-Men the previous few years would have solved Marvel's problems as they would have ran in to the same issues that the current iteration is. Disney would have made the same mistake in oversaturating the product like some of mentioned years ago in spreading the content between movies and TV shows and already shytty CGI would have been even worse. The narrative would have then shifted as to how could Disney have fumbled the X-Men.

This flop was the best thing that could have happened to them as now they can fix the issues currently plaguing them before bringing in the X-Men.
