Then why we shytting on numbers.? I thought it was out.
The pre-sales are usually an indicator of a movie success and so far they have been trash for the marvels

It’s weird to see this kind of reaction to captain marvel who is legitimately this strong and massive part of the marvel/avengers ethos. If the problem is that the stories have sucked that’s one thing but this “feminist agenda”
Captain marvel is pound for pound one of the most powerful characters in the marvel universe this isn’t some kind of lie about what she can do to boost her abilities.
Carol Danvers is also just a boring character and neither the movies or comics ever did anything to address that.
She's easily one of the most powerful Earth based hero's what are we talking about here? If you're talking about world breaker hulk that's more on marvel for purposely underpowering hulk and not on them for rightfully Carol's version for Marvel at the right power level. One of the most powerful? She's the weakest person to use the captain marvel name and isn't even strong enough to exhaust the hulk before he punted her ass into space. She's strong, but there's no need to overstate her abilities.

We're not talking about galactic entities here and my mistake for not qualifying that.
He-Man Woman Haters Club...Then why we shytting on numbers.? I thought it was out.
This movie is most likely gonna catch a brick.
People are doing the exact opposite of downplaying it, though.
Which is my point. MCU ain't going nowhere, arguing they're done after a couple failures is nuts. And I'm using the term failure loosely, as "Antman 3" was considered a flop by Marvel standards but is still in the top 10 box office for the year.
Meaning, the entire industry is down. But no, the MCU specifically is doomed. People do not live in reality.
Fred.
Not really. Brie Larson is hated by a segment of the Internet. I don't remember what she said to piss them thoughIt’s weird to see this kind of reaction to captain marvel who is legitimately this strong and massive part of the marvel/avengers ethos. A movie doing $476 million, top 10 box office for the year....and still being considered a failure is a movie industry problem, not specifically an MCU problem.
Nah that shyt was a flop for a couple reasons. Yes, it made $476M worldwide. I should hope so after all the money that went into the advertising for it and all the IMAX/PLF screens that it took up.
But it was also a $200M+ budgeted movie and that's before you account for the advertising costs which were likely another $100M-$150M.
The second reason is the movie failed critically and with fans and was supposed to be the big introduction and setup movie for Kang as the next big bad of the universe which is supposed to lead into the next Avengers movie. That's not the kind of reaction they wanted out of a movie that was supposed to be a table setter.
So yes, it flopped....and still outperformed most other movies in a historically bad year. If you're not disputing that then I'm kinda confusing what you're arguing here.
Because a movie like "The Nun II" for example is not a flop despite making less at the box office. I'm arguing what a flop is. A low budget horror doing $200M is far better than a tentpole doing $400M.
I guess I'm kinda confused why you'd argue the definition of a flop in a year that's been historically terrible for box office. Even before the strikes.
