I know he is in a different time and different era...but even when you factor in the cost of living and the current value vs value of the dollar back then, but still Jr. is getting paid way more than Sr. did and he isnt even a 3rd of the player Sr. was. These teams are out of control with this. He's a 4-year $50 mil player at best. :snoop:

I think IT signed his last deal at 3 years $27 mil or something right? and IT was way better. :yeshrug:

Pretty sure they couldve gotten KCP to sign a sheet for much less than that.
IT about to get 200M next year though.

The other crazy thing is...THardway Jr is only 25...he'll be 29/30 in four years once his contract is up....that means he'll be up for a max contract if he even improves marginally...this MFer will probably get 100 mil plus the next time around :mindblown:.

No hate....:hubie:...this dude is out here winnin in this game:salute:....even tho his dad played a different position, he was a top 3 PG for the decade of the 90s...and he aint smell anything near that kind of paper

the cap being higher doesnt factor in dollar for dollar. its just more of an amount someone is allowed to get. we are talking salary vs salary, not what affects the amount of the salary. role players are on higher paid salaries today than star contracts 2 years ago because the cap and jumped twice. Mike Conley was 2nd highest paid player in the league this year breh. We are not talking about if Sr. played today...thats different. Nothing changes the fact that his son in his short career has earned more than his HOF pops did in 13 seasons.
:yeshrug: I don't agree with your point of view but I'm not wasting time debating about Tim Hardaway lol.

Cant be mad at him for getting his bread but this is why the Knicks are the inept franchise that they are. Draft a guy just to trade him just to sign him to an inflated contract just so the other team wont match a couple of years later. That's some stupid shyt right there when they just could have kept him from the start and his rights.

yes, he is an All NBA performer. my point is, at the time he signed the $27 mil deal he was averaging an efficient 20ppg. he was way better than Hardaway then. 4-years, $71 mil? I didnt even know he was a target. :mjlol: no way ATL matches that.

I Don't Like This Deal AT ALL But It's Obvious Someone Liked Tim And Phil Didn't So Now That Phils Gone They're Tryna Get Him Back, I Dunno Why People Can't Grasp That Idea

Anyway I Hope Atlanta Matches They Can Keep Him

while this is true....when he was traded, he wasnt very good. people thought getting Grant for him was a steal. so at the time Phil was justified for not liking him. ATL is in full rebuild, so not sure why they would strap themselves with that contract. Need to get rid of Baze contract too. Frank may be a good player but that was a curious decision to take him over DSjr. Knicks decision making just questionable right now. I wouldve done that Booker deal if it was any truth to it. They couldve had Booker, DSjr, and Josh. thats like a poor man's Westbrook, Klay, and MKG. Thats how you rebuild.

I'm so confused lol do u think I'm a knick fan or something?

no. just saying, a lot of stuff got blamed on Phil. and rightfully so, he wasnt doing a great job. he's gone now and it doesnt seem like they have making any better decisions.
