I hate the phrase “overrated”

It’s such a cop out

If everyone very clearly love something, and you’re apart of a very small vocal minority that doesn’t… that says more about your opinion on that thing then it does the thing in question
if you like what everyone else likes you are sheep

ya’ll say anything on this site…

If you like what everyone likes specifically because it’s well liked, you’re a sheep..

However - If you like something that many others also happen to like, that’s fukkin life…

It’s you people who who try to dismiss popular opinion because it’s popular that are the real sheep. Just following a different herd. Real loser mentality

the term overrated is weak in this situation, but i dont fukk with most of this guys movies. there are other hyped up directors, that make PURE BASURA tho, zack snyder, michael bay come to the top of my head.
i'm just glad i dont have to watch this mans movies. i just ignore them and keep it moving. i suggest brother @Remote just ignore this man. cuz you not gonna win. too many people love this guys movies, and they arent super trash so :manny:

I’d say his flicks are more hit or miss but he isn’t overrated in my opinion. The following are classics.

Terminator 1 & 2
Aliens
Titanic (even though I didn’t care for it)

Point Break was a solid flick too. I didn’t really care for those Avatar movies.

He ain’t Spielberg or Tarantino, but I definitely like some of his movies.

The Terminator > Terminator 2 and even if it doesn't how the fukk isn't it elite.
This! Like if the OG wasn't classic then why the fukk was the 2nd one so anticipated. That movie was a mainstay on early premium cable TV., regular TV as well. In the 80s if that movie was on you were "in" it till the end. Which is why The 2nd one had such a massive budget compared to the first one.

You can shyt on his dialogue all day but as a director he's elite. Your favorite would leave the project for "creative differences" if they tried to direct one of his movies.

People have mentioned Michael Bay

The only difference between Cameron and Bay is that Bay doesn’t have T2 and Aliens to fall back on in his resume.

Take out those 2 movies (which by the way are 30 and 40 years old) and his career looks lame given the actual quality.

Nah, first Terminator is classic and yeah the effects may look somewhat dated now but that flick was made nearly 40 years ago and it still holds up.

If anything this title goes to Quentin Tarantino.
