Why though?

Yes this seems to be the case, but how did we get here?

Here’s what black boys are being driven to (marketing, music, guidance, etc.) focus on at a young age:

And when those don’t work out...

...or worse yet...

Why?
They were raised in households that didn't put an emphasis on education
..

The thought of writing bullshyt essays, math, schoolwork disgusts me...

Also perhaps brehs don't know what they wanna do.

I mean I'd go back to school for Music as music is my passion.

I'll comment on the topic of black men in the workforce in general in the U.S. , but comparing black men and women on this is just going to lead to a huge argument and I don't think OP meant to do that. All I'm going to say is black men and corporate jobs or jobs that require masters degrees or whatever don't mix in this country. "They" only gone allow 1 or 2 brothers(or black people in general) at a time to rise through the ranks and even with that they are making sure you don't appear to be a threat to them. And a lot of black men would rather not deal with the entire hassle of it all and get a skilled trade where the work environment is not perfect but better than dealing with fake suits. And I know for a lot people I know around my age (36)...we got sold on the idea that if you just get a degree and blah blah blah you'll be ahead and now we're looking at bachelors degrees being damn near worthless for a lot of fields while we all sitting around with debt. Then people want to start talking about getting a masters and hoping something is waiting for you on the other side of that too.
This is true, the passive aggressiveness of corporate America can eat away at your soul.....

I mean sure the money can be good to great, but at what expense is dealing wit :mjpls: and constantly being undermined all the time.

This hasn't always been the case and it is even worse for Black women...

Educated Black women are more likely to marry down than any other demographic of women...if they marry at all...

---------------------------------------------
BTW...

Black women been ahead of Black men since the 90s...and it's even increased moreso...

American DOS men are really really behind...

Get you an education brehs...

How you go from promoted armed revolution a few hours ago to telling nikkas to get educated now?

And yes to piggy back on the subject on avg in america all women are out pacing men getting degrees and going to college.

Second of all a degree does not equal a job or a high paying job. The field, degree and location has more to do with that.

Last it can't be stated enough. Men and women view work and jobs differently. I got a BS and 2 MS. And trust if tomorrow a fool would pay me 400k to be a janitor I would quit my job tomorrow fukk this education. Cause like most men it ain't the job but what they paying to do the job.

Women are not wired like that. Their mind set is the job and how they enjoy it. So for a woman.....her mind set might be fukk this I want to get a job so I can work in an office and out the environment so I am going to get this degree.

Where as a man might say fukk an office setting this truck driving gonna pay me 100k plus without a damn degree....so fukk school.

yes there is a problem. white supremacy and its targeting of us.

i love how we conveniently always forget this when speaking about this subject just so we can take part in our favorite past time of putting down black men,
while making sly remarks to the "dating pool" being low as to encourage swirling.

even though this is the case for all races, and black men still out earn black women. but im sure thats black male privilege or something
