Plunder Mode revealed for MP
If you haven’t played it in Uncharted 2 or Uncharted 3 — for shame. Plunder is a Capture the Flag type game mode but with an Uncharted twist — you can throw the idol (AKA flag)!
Great teamwork is key to winning the match as you’re tasked with finding the idol on the map and bringing it to your home treasure chest. Plunder will be playable [at PAX East] on the three maps you’ve seen in the Uncharted 4 Beta and Multiplayer Stress Test — Island, Madagascar City, and Rooftops.
For those familiar with the classic Plunder game type, we’ve made a few updates. In previous Uncharted games, people carrying the idol could not traverse with it; we removed this constraint. Also, Plunder has been a five-on-five experience in the past; we changed that to four vs. four. No doubt this may cause shortness of breath for fans of the mode, but worry not! Given the number of mechanics that have been introduced into our multiplayer’s moment-to-moment gameplay, Plunder at four vs. four is perfect and we hope fans that experience this mode at PAX East feel the same.
