Starmer calculated he wanted more center and center right folks to vote for him. These are likely acceptable losses to him, but the Corbyn one will sting.

Same thing would have happened if he screwed over Dianne Abbot.

The calculation made, is that it's worth losing a few seats if it means not scaring of traditional labour voters in the red walll and it looks to be the right calculation.

Yeah was speaking to my friends in Bristol, this was on the cards.
It reminds me of the 2022 midterms here

Dems weren’t strong in blue states but held up well in competitive seats

Labour are seeing the left send a message but doing well in competitive areas. Starmer correctly focused on Scotland
