I still say Aldo has it because he was a force of nature. His records still hold up. He just aged out like everyone not named Jones.

Yea, ultimately UFC doesn't pay enough so all of them greats (Aldo, Volk, Holloway, etc) are going to inevitably overstay their welcome and get aged out. Even a Cejudo who retired on-top, talkin ish bout sueprfight or bust, inevitably came back and now he's just a gate keeper taking Ls on Fight Night cards.

Basically gotta be a Mighty Mouse or Khabib that have other passions like coaching or streaming that generate income.

Nope not intentional but volk rarely finishes guys and ppl point to this fight as him finishing sum1 but he only got that finish clearly cause of the head butt.

He looked still hurt and stunned from tbe headbutt and the finish came 1 min after.

Being the goat for me also includes how you have won, dominate clear wins, Finishes, or impressive things never or rarely seen and especially who you beat and how. Volk doesn't many or any real big Kos tkos finishes or clear dominate wins over other top champs or former champs. He hasnt really show us something new or dynamic. Like an Aldo has.
