Embarrassing. This is why I watch MMA sometimes but could never be a fan. Frustrating to watch so called elite fighters lacking basic boxing IQ and skills.

Same. I realize they have way more shyt to worry about but its not really that hard to deal with that type of boxing if you know what he doing, especially with the physical gifts izzy has. This was one of the worst performances I've seen in a minute. absolutely disgusting lack of preparation.

I seriously wondered if Izzy trained for this fight. Strickland isn’t a particularly nuanced fighter. He comes forward with no lift in his feet and boxes. Izzy couldn’t get off the fence or see the jab not once. Absolutely terrible performance

there's no way he did. all that back away/stance switch does is hunt over reaching strikers and win on natural ability. strickland is too responsible defensively.

izzy and his whole team laid an egg. they didn't even adjust during the fight. just came in expecting dude to knock himself out
