THE BODY SHOT THAT HURT USMAN
AND CAUSED HIM TO FAKE
A LOW BLOW IS WHAT SET HIM UP FOR THE KNOCKOUT....

HE THOUGHT IT WAS COMING AGAIN
AND TRIED TO PROTECT HIS BODY
WHICH LEFT HIS HEAD OPEN.

EDWARDS EARNED THAT KO
BY LAYING THE GROUND WORK.
WASNT A LUCKY SHOT AT ALL.

Crazy the commentators were saying right before that that he was just trying to survive the fight and it would be a moral victory in his mind and I thought the same thing

Only thing I disagree with here is that I don’t think he was setting up that kick the whole fight. You don’t go in thinking I’m gonna knock him out with a minute left in the fight. I think he started setting it up when he realized he couldn’t win on the scorecards.

Plus if Usman just wrestled him that last round he never gets a chance to get it off
His coaches called for the kick right before he threw it

Is this the biggest win in UFC history?
I still have Anderson Silva vs Chael Sonnen # 1 as the greatest UFC comeback win because Silva lost every round leading up to the 5th round submission. Leon won the first round in this fight, but I can see arguments for either fight being the greatest UFC comeback win in a championship fight.

gonna end up like sterling/yan 2

once these guys shake the headlights, its different
Yeah, that self-belief is a motherfukker. Leon clearly was gun shy and in his head. It's a completely different ballgame mentally now that he's seen and felt himself kick the king's head off his shoulders.

It's eerie how Usman was talking shyt in the interview with Brett Okamoto about taking dude's souls, and how the dudes he beat know that until their dying day, even if they're old men, if they're ever in the same room with each other, they both know that he took something from them that they can't get back.

That's exactly what Edwards did to him last night and he gotta eat that.

Cormier basically called the last round. knowing that kamaru wouldn't completely let off the gas, he said Edwards still had quick hands/feet.

i see this ass kamaru moving his head off center line to avoid that jab. the feint with the right is what threw him off mentally tho because hec was expecting a simple 2-1 up top. he was positioning to avoid punches not a headkick. almost guarantee that if edwards threw a real jab, Kamaru would've tried an overhand right counter.

:yeshrug:Usman was cocky as fukk heading into this fight. He needed this humble pie

Happy for Leon. Usman was borderline disrespectful going into this. Him and his honky coach Whitman laughing and smiling after Usman lost round 1 was too much. Also grabbing the cage…glad that MF got put to sleep
