That's basically all it is. The real kicker is the reasons why they are reading it they way they are.

I think its a combination of paranoia, misplaced self esteem, looking for anything to be offended over, and subconsciously recognizing for themselves that if the shoe fits.............

I wouldn't discount the possibility of some of the backlash towards her being so due to her being fair skinned with long hair. We could probably write an entire list of items that certain Black women would be jealous of before she made the comments whether they would admit it or not.

Those are things that some Black women not only desire but become envious of other Black women over. Now for her to underhandedly call them out whether intentially or not, was too much to bear. If the big girl from Precious would have made the same comments, the THOT Brigade would have clowned her and they would have enjoyed it. But in this case, the messenger in their minds, is too perfect to sh!t on them and they cant handle it. Secretly, I imagine prior to this, they would have liked to have viewed her as the token dime or token light skin in their crew who gets all the play when they go out yet still hangs with them. Mrs.Curry, and I strongly emphasize Mrs., has at least for now, graduated to where they all wish they were.

The crazy thing to me is I'm not someone who thinks light skinned and long hair equal superior beauty, but enough folks still harbor those sentiments and it dictates their impressions unfortunately.
