Give me a scenario in which the parent comes first before the children. Not vague terrible explanations that have been given in this thread.Give me a real life scenario where this applies.
@Ozymandeas had a great point.

How you pour into your spouse/children in a real life scenario. Everyday you complete your everyday tasks. Pray, hygiene, prepare the family for the day, go to work, then finally come home back to your family.

How you fill your family’s cup is when you could put your partner first. If both your children and partner’s love language is quality time, you make sure you get the QT with the Wife first. You may sneak in a walk or quick episode of something as the kids are doing homework. You give your Wife a gift or thank you note. You give your partner a deep kiss or dance a little with them.

There are some people whose children come first always. There is no QT with the spouse, no affirmation, no physical touch. Couples get lost in the children. Men find time to play games with their boys, practice sports, rough house while his partner is watching, resenting the connection. She yearns for your touch and attention. It goes both ways.

Putting her first is filling her cup, before you fill the children’s cup.

I can see kids first for SOME situations.

However, Steph is one of the most rare people on this planet. Even as an adult you nurture that, there’s no guarantee the kids come anywhere near close that gift.

If your husband/wife ain’t shyt, then of course you put the kids first.
