Tumblr & Twitter are losing it over the color of a dress

I think that shyt just changes on it's own. It was white and gold to me and I had it off on my third monitor where I couldn't even see it. I look back 10 minutes later and it was black and blue. I refresh the screen and its showing white and gold for me.

People at my school were talking about this, all I have to say about this "issue" is that this just proves the frivolity and immaturity of Americans - that they would rather focus on pop culture and silly things rather than more serious issues. I been avoiding this most of the day thinkig it was an elaborate troll

But I just tried something. Look at it in white/gold

Then, squint hard. You will see it blue/black when you squint

It aint a troll, it really has to do with how our eyes are processing the image under certain lighting conditions

Since the dress is confirmed blue/black, they obviously put some sort of filter on the picture that is tricking some of our eyes

Checked this pic on my phone every 30 min throughout the day at different angles and lighting...all i saw is black and blue and im convinced you white and gold people are just playin games or crazy...

So they just had 3 diffrent pic of tv...the pic in the OP , a pic that doesnt have lighting probs, and a pic where the contrast is ALL THE WAY UP....


was talking to it and i think the people who see blue and black realize the lighting in the pic is messed up so we account for it and look passed it and see the true colors while the people who see white and gold don't account for the lighting and see it for face value.
