I also think a lot of people like Cole because they like what they believe he stands for. They feel like they're supporting a Nas-type of artist, even though they're nothing alike. I actually would have said this about Kendrick Lamar. Although I do respect his talent I really couldn't get into his album because it was all just centered around him and his small environment.

Cole on the other hand does a better job at taking his stories out of his own personal world and bring them to a broader worldview.
