I said it before the inauguration Department of Government Efficiency is really a 1000 IQ role Elon and Vivek created.

Everyone thought it was a joke at first and a slight, but unlike other traditional roles this made up branch has no clear-defined guidelines and scope. Remember, Elon and Vivek had the choice of basically most cabinet positions. They turned those roles down to create this one.

If their role is to cut waste and spending, that could basically mean anything. So Elon basically has control over so much of the government right now. The way he’s moving instills fear around Washington as well because nobody wants to lose their job, so people basically consider him top brass.
