In the meantime, call/email your congressmen about these mawfukkas. IF things hit a dead-stop in the near future, legislators are going to have one hell of a time putting things back together and malicious idiot-proofing the government.

But when you look at polling, both from recent years and the polling from the last week, you see that a minority of Americans oppose foreign aid

It's not a slam dunk, and public opinion on foreign aid is hampered by limited knowledge and contradictions.
But in the grand scheme of government programs, it's hardly out of the ordinary

So, Americans feel relatively positively towards foreign aid when they think about it, but they don’t think about it very much.
I think visibility is foreign aid's core vulnerability: not that it doesn't benefit Americans, but that these benefits aren't immediately visible

Self-interest can be interpreted in multiple ways, and people care about a lot more than self-interest.
More granular polling shows that humanitarian concerns often outrank traditional ideas of the national interest

Because Americans don't know or think that much about foreign aid, their views are malleable.
At a moment when foreign aid is in the news, it's crucial to make sure that they are hearing stories of USAID saving lives and making us safer, not a torrent of lies about waste

TLDR: don't concede the point that foreign aid is unpopular, because it's not (even if public opinion is nuanced).

1. Scope:
This policy applies to all foreign assistance-funded federal assistance awards.

2. Background and Purpose:
On February 13, 2025, the Court hearing the case of AIDS Vaccine Coalition v. U.S. Department of State and Global Health Council v. Trump entered a temporary restraining order (TRO) against the Department of State, USAID, and OMB. In connection with the litigation, Grants Officers (GOs) must not take further action to effectuate terminations or suspensions (including those pursuant to previously issued guidance) at this time. Notification of the TRO was provided via a SAM.Gov notice posted on February 14, 2025. notice posted on February 14, 2025.
3. Policy:
GOs must cease further action to pause any new obligations or disbursements of foreign assistance funds (including those pursuant to previously issued guidance) at this time. However, GOs may continue any actions under any exceptions or waivers granted by the Secretary of State, including to lift a previously issued suspension, or to certify the disbursement of a payment.
4. Authority:
Global Acquisition (A/GA) prescribes policies, regulations, and procedures for the award and administration of Federal financial assistance agreements.

Reminds me of 2010 right now. When the freaks take over, the start doing freak shyt that normal people are NOT interested in. While ignoring the stuff they said they were going to focus on. And just as Obama stomped them a couple years later by simply being normal, I think we're on that path right now. These guys haven't spent a single day talking about inflation or prices. IE the main issue people were mad about. And as the tariffs make everything more expensive it's gonna get ugly. DOGE is largely just a psyop to create scapegoats. Look at these scientists studying mosquitos, they're the real ones robbing the American people! Nobody believes that shyt lol. This is gonna get real ugly given that white people's jobs are being cut, and prices aren't going down.
