Brooklyn keeps on taking it.
He does have a point. Not sure if the gym will be safe, but the numbers say if you’re healthy and or not overweight your chances of beating Covid increase significantly.

There is not enough emphasis in our community about getting in shape during the next 120 days.

Just because I’m healthy doesn’t mean I want to get the virus tho.

:yeshrug:

I’m going to prevent myself from getting in the same levels someone with asthma will.

:ehh:

Unless they have equipment or did only calisthenics and cardio/HIITT you capping or don’t know what you are talking about.

Women do a lot of bullshyt fluff exercises on the gram that don’t do shyt except improve your cardiovascular conditioning and core.

Can’t gain size off a lot of the bs they do except with how little weight they use.

And ever since gyms have shut down I’ve seen so many IG fitness influencers do stupid shyt with with brooms, couches etc.. none of which create enough resistance.

It’s not capping at all. People who are fit and know how to do various forms of exercise can adjust.

How the fukk is it capping if it’s in plain view?

:dwillhuh:

Your last sentence is just as opinion tbh.

This idiot Trump is actually going ahead with the discredited "herd immunity"

Herd immunity is a fatal strategy we should avoid at all costs
Gideon Meyerowitz-Katz
It would require us to sacrifice the vulnerable on the altar of the economy in vast numbers

The problem with herd immunity is that it really hinges on vaccination. Without a vaccine, the only way to become immune to a disease is to get it and live through, which makes the strategy a whole lot more fatal.

New data from the CDC indicates the proportion of people who need to be immune for the disease to stop spreading may be as high as 85% So 85% of people need to be infected with Covid-19 for herd immunity to come into play at a minimum. And it’s important to note that you can’t really pick and choose these people, because unless you reach that threshold in every part of the country you’ll still see disease outbreaks. The idea that we can only infect young people is simply incorrect, firstly because that’s not how society functions, but also because it’ll create clusters of low immunity where the disease can still spread.

Man, you American brehs are living in the twilight zone. I actually feel sorry for you guys.

Cardio is stupid. It does nothing but build up endurance. Unless you plan on running long distance it does nothing for fat loss.

Resistance training is the most effective exercise for losing fat, building muscle, and overall health.

I used to feel this way, but remember your heart is a muscle also and the most important one... And cardio helps your lungs too.

How? They gonna have to move all types of equipment and allow like 15 -20 people in at a time cuz of social distancing. No hooping either :camby:

Probably have to book time slots too
Nah people are just going to workout like they were before this all started. I'm not being sarcastic either. Many people arent shook like some on here. There gonna work out and take their chances. It is what it is. :yeshrug:

I don't know why gyms are a priority to open. there are plenty of different ways to stay in shape even at home. Trump is just an idiot so it all makes sense to him.

The unfortunate reality is the country has to open even without the cure. I don't want it to, but for the majority, the US would completely collapse if it stayed closed like this for even another month.

There's a good chunk of the population that doesn't see this as a threat. They'll go to the gym, even sick coughing and hacking, because they dgaf. I'm probably not touching the inside of a gym until June minimum and even then I'll probably go at like 12AM so there's minimal people there.

I don't know if people know this but most of the disinfectant products we use have a 4-15 minute wait time before they kill bacteria, germs, and viruses. If you spray the gym equipment and wipe it down unless you're waiting at least 4 minutes you probably didn't do shyt. I guess you could carry your own bottle of 60% plus straight alcohol and spray that and wait 20 seconds.
There's a right and wrong way to use cleaning wipes, apparently
