Lol how much do you guys pay monthly?

I spend a lot between the monthly fee, my one-on-one trainer sessions, and workout classes at a different studio.
Oh I was about to say WTF like everyone else, but with trainers and studio work that makes sense. I was paying $70 at lifetime

Calisthenics u gotta hit the same body part like 3 times a week and even then you don’t get the same pump like if you were in the gym.

A nikka losing size smfh.

I was doing bodybuilding basically, and then on the weekends I would do calisthenics lots of different push-up and pull up variations, and a lot of HIIT, and core work with a bar, bench or on the floor.

Shoulders ain’t 100% so I’m not doing handstand push-ups and stuff like that yet.

I have dumbbells and a pull-up bar at home but it ain’t enough.. I gotta damn near hit the same
Body part HARD twice a week and even then that ain’t enough smh.

Losing my gains ouchea

If you losing size you either not doing enough reps of the calisthenics.

Or you shredding up and you think you losing size but you not

9/10 you/y’all just not doing enough reps of calisthenics work

Lol no that $250 is Equinox's flat monthly fee....the personal trainer and HIIT studio work is a separate fee...so I probably spend maybe $500-700 a month on workout related stuff

You're an MD right? So thats play money to you but most people probably spend they little 20-30 at LA Fitness and call it a day. But I will say with all that other stuff you do I can see it. My boy was paying 100+ for one of those lifestyle, workout class gyms.

Yeah. Make sense..I honestly lost touch with what the average cost is living in NYC

@Payroll Quit spreading false information about calisthenics, only thing overrated is them weights.

Proof in the pudding look how fast y’all strength gonna take a hit once y’all get back to the gym,y’all deflating like a balloon cause weights is fake strength and size my man.

Calisthenics is legit, gives you that real internal strength and the physique would never take a hit that fast a month without it once you get a legit base.

You better get at least a happy ending if not a full blowjob every time you go to the gym for a price like that.

Probably those bougie gyms owned by fakkits.

You have obviously never picked up a sports science textbook talking about misinformation.

Strength is force production...using just your bodyweight is not optimal for the development of pure strength because theres not enough external resistance....someone training with a barbell and more weight will always be stronger than you.. regardless.

And why you acting like detraining doesn't occur when you stop doing calisthenics?

Do one get strong....do both be stronger...

Sheesh what amenities are you getting?

$250 Equinox global access fee comes with unlimited group fitness classes and the typical amenities like steam rooms, saunas, swimming pools, etc..

Equinox just likes to position itself as a "high-end fitness club." Don't necessarily think the cost is justified but they like to position themselves as being "exclusive". Its owned by the same people who run Related Companies, which does high end residential and commercial high rises.

And then I have a personal trainer so that's $100 a session (I see the trainer 1-2x a week).

I do a HIIT class at another studio which is like $30 a class and I go usually 1-2x a week
