Bondy makes a logical assertion but his whole purpose, as it should be as his lawyer, is to protect Lev.

He spent so much of the interview pushing back on the assertion that Lev had anything to do with or gain from the ambassador's removal yet, he is the one who introduced the conversation and either can't or won't speak to where that information originated other than to throw Igor under the bus. I have a feeling Igor is going to tell a different story. Everyone in the room should be interviewed to corroborate all accounts with the video/audio.

Indeed the issue here is the timing and that it’s a year separated from her actual removal. You (talking generally) can’t get traction on this being a call for assassination and the target is still around a year later. It would be silly to do so if this tape is the depth of the the accusation.

That said there is plenty there otherwise that needs investigation.

This is true but it also applies to her firing. Why didn't the aide follow through? Why didn't he(Trump) follow through to ensure she was gone as been hinted at, she was a pain in their asses when it came to them navigating Ukraine.

I wouldnt doubt that he actually wanted something to happen to her so he could blame Ukraine. To further push them towards what he really wanted. He thinks he's a mobster though guy. Even if he did mean firing her....why say get rid of her? Why say she's going to go through some things? Why did she testify that she was told she had to come home for her safety? Years from it will come out. I hope some of these Republicans who are about to let him skate are around to feel the wrath of public ridicule.

Absolutely, and even more so because he has no finesse. Where as there were a lot of policies and bills that republicans over the last 2 decades have been dreaming about, but know if they were to push for them individually, they would get voted out next term with the quickness, Trump will push anything and everything in his power for some kind of quid pro quo that is in his personal interest. Look at healthcare, look at the tax reform, look at immigration, all 3 big ticket items, all three, under any other president in any other party would be fukking TOXIC enough to end any house member or senators career. Now they have someone that will take all their bullets for them, because their constituents are under a fukking spell. WE know, maybe a couple of dozen of us in here, know how fukking serious this is, and the long term affects of what has already been done, forget about what would happen if he got another term, but it seems like everybody else, MSM especially, are treating this like it’s not as big a deal as it really is, and they make it out to be some “palace intrigue” as opposed to the actual fall of a fukking empire that has been sped up. If it’s already signed, sealed, and delivered, I guess it will come to be, but, still, it’s so ticking depressing to watch the okey doke in real time, and not be able to do much about it.
