If daddy had whopped his ass as a kid a little better maybe he'd have grown up to be a decent human being... but like most rich kids that inherit their fortunes... they are entitled bytches

The same daddy he didnt give a single fukk about in his final days battling dementia..nor his nicer kinder brother who was meant to run the family enterprise but their father deemed him too nice so Donald was given the reigns.
Cruelty is what you can expect hence forth.

I was hired as remote. My contract says as much also. Yet I got an email telling me to go into an office that I technically don't have. I have sites that I visit but the home office of our department is an hour and a half away.
Just like most people hired have been remote/hybrid....... the smart people have done the research and crunched the numbers and the machine guns along just fine.......... but as usual idiots and dumb asses fukk up the flow........ you can clearly see in some of these responses that people have no idea what the fukk they are talking about and are just saying shyt........mufukkas us hurt in their soul about something

It's wild. I make 55HR+ as a contractor. I can do the same job as an E5 easily, but somehow it's wiser and more cost effective to have a contractor do it. Probably because of the benefits. Plus, it's hard to rotate units in and out of OCONUS positions when you can have contractors do it instead.
:manny:
Defense contracting overseas is probably a different beast compared to stateside gov't work. I try to understand it as a taxpayer and Reservist. I benefit from it as a contractor. I'm conflicted.
:patrice:
They'll eventually circle back around to contractors after being done with Federal workers. Not sure how long you're worked as a contractor. But they got rid of damn near all of us back in 2013. Once the Federal budget is slashed these contract companies will dump anyone over a certain salary. I would start preparing just in case.

US faces huge job losses as Obama orders $85bn cuts

That was what caused america ruin in the mid nineties. That we recovered from. Them dubya sent us back to the dark ages and we never recovered. After stealing the election frok al gore. Where al gore was gonna end this republican dance with ignorance and absence of reason nonsense. Instead.
The backyardigan rethuglicans stole the election.
That americs never recovered and it has been recession after recession since the turn of the century.

Yeah, I don't understand the whole just go into the office train of thought when I found out yesterday that half of our team lives in or near Florida and in parts of Ga and they want them to drive 2hrs or more each way, and they took these jobs because that's what they were offered. An opportunity to work remotely regardless of location. We even have a dude working in our office from Kentucky, even though he'd report to the Kentucky branch, problem is he'd have to be reassigned and from what I understand there's a freeze on that.

And if I'm not mistaken, even if your Dept. has a building there, like say you work for Interior, even if the closest Interior location was a National Park, your agency would have to rent that space from NPS because that office space was allocated for their office and not others. One of the reasons why my office had to move from a USGS location. They didn't want to pay the rent for the spaces they were going to let us occupy.

It's wild, but I have seen postings for sub gs3 positions before......:scust:

Biden passed a law making federal minimum salary is $15. Even for the lowest paying federal job. Which is a lil over $30k.

Overall, there's a lot needed to be sorted out. As a federal employee I am not making no moves period. A lot of challenges and logistics to be worked out. Stay calm and keep doing your job. If I gotta go in the office I'm cool, my work still will get completed at an exceptional level as usual. I already know my office can't even support everyone in there at once. That's why it's hilarious to me. And people working from home with reasonable accommodations will be still be able to. My lady is and nothing changing with that even the Presidential order.

A lot of wolf tickets being sold. Don't fall into the bait. It will be hard for many locations to bring back in a full workforce. And if you quit with the hiring freezes a lot of the work not gonna get done in a timely fashion.

I expect a lot of fronting but they gonna realize the federal government the way it's funded don't allow crazy changes or upheaval. For every action there is a reaction and it all still has to support mission.

This not even considering the government still ain't funded for the entire fiscal year.

Yeah, the federal bureaucracy is fukking massive and unwieldy. Trump can put cracks in it, but he wont break it.
