I watched the first 3 eps..... but then wasn’t able to watch the last 4 weeks or so. Just finished binging up to the latest and WOW!

This shyt has been great.

Can’t wait to see how it all wraps up next week. Wished we got more eps but it’s all good

Nic references a lot of real life crime stories and is influenced by crime novelists so he be putting some crazy shyt out there. I think season 2 was such a misstep only because they rushed it out there..

S2 had potential like for real. Drop a protagonist from the story, have a dedicated sole director, and 2 year development time and we would have a season on the level of S3, IMO. I appreciate what Nic wanted to do there with the hardboiled neo-noir attempt, HBO shouldn't have rushed him like that.

These past 2 episodes have a HEAVY atmosphere of dread attached to them. shyt got me glued to my seat feelin paranoid as hell. THIS is what the fukk I want from True Detective. Thats what I loved so much about season 1, and what I was missing from s2. That feeling of dread where you dont know exactly what could happen and your mind races thru all the scenarios like you're part of the mystery too.

You can tell HBO put all their chips in with tonight's episode. They want this to become a stable franchise for them.

As long as they give each season at least 2 years to formulate/production..then yeah. Don't need another S2 situation, dude needs time to tighten the story up

Season 2 was rushed because Nick was pressured by HBO to capitalize on the success of the first season. He simply didn’t have enough time put out something of high quality.

I dont think it's gonna be a pedo cult again he already did that in season 1. Prob abducted her to replace the daughter that died in car crash. Julie's mom was a piece of shyt and they were poor anyway hoyt prob played the ill give her a better life card.

Been looking for a show to watch like this and stumbled onto the killing which Nic wrote two episodes for. It's not as good as true detectives but it's decent and has 4 seasons to watch.
