Do you remember back in season 1 where the popular theory on Reddit was Marty's wife was the killer :russ:
Bruh people were talking about the yellow king was vietnamese because marty and rust ate banh mi sandwiches in one of the earlier episodes. The weekend leading up to the finale with everyone going through conspiracy theories and rewatching was the GOAT TV buildup

If you think you're lonely now, ohhh girl...
I’d love it if they took it all the way in terms of the failing memory/mistaken indentity theme :wow:. I got a wild theory :yeshrug:.

We know from season’s past that Pizzaloto likes to introduce the killer early in the season in some innocuous, unremarkable way, right? What’s the likelihood that the same interracial couple that the guy said he saw on his property before were the same ghosts following Will and Julie on Halloween? I’d say, low.

What if it was a mixed race couple that took the kids, but not in the sense people think (i.e. a black woman and a white man)? That white guy had a brown sedan that Hays saw Amelia with in episode 2. He’s never mentioned again. I also don’t think Amelia has ever offered an alibi for that night. Why does Amelia need a copy of that picture of the ghosts? I wonder if she kept it (covering her tracks)? What if she’s looking for the man with one eye to understand the connection to Hoyt, and not the disappearance itself (because she knows what happened)? I even think when Hays reads her book and comes across “Children should laugh,” he interprets it as a line from Lucy, but it’s actually Amelia quoting herself through Lucy. In the preview for next episode — old Roland says, “All this time. The hell were you doing?” I think he’s talking about Hays overlooking certain things about his wife when they discover her involvement.

I think both could be true. Julie is Hoyt’s b*stard biological daughter with Lucy (hence his attempts to keep an eye on her, the hush money to Lucy, etc), AND Amelia still had something to do with the disappearance.

Funny, he brought up that he has kids cause they insinuated that he was involved in pedo-ring

I think wanted to keep Wayne close in the 90s cause his wife was writing a book, I don't think he cared about Waynes career at all.
Many people think Roland is sinister, he's gay or apart of the cover up but I don't see it man. Ro and Wayne seem like real friends who got broken up after Hoyt visited Wayne at his house. Amelia writing a book wouldn't make him fight for Wayne to be on the case. It would have been more safe to keep him out of it if they wanted to make sure the truth never came out.
2015 HAYES JUST APOLOGIZED FOR MANIPULATING
WEST INTO KIDNAPPING HARRIS.

YOU nikkaS DONT PAY ATTENTION TO shyt.

They just add stuff to the show that they want to happen lol. They don't wanna believe what they are watching is all there is to it.

Center self, inner self
I actually rewound the scene to doublecheck what happened.
They BOTH shot him. Hayes got the final killing shot as they were struggling on the ground.

They already suggested that it may have been an accident. If it wasn't an accident, then it was that the boy came back and saw more than he was supposed to and they couldn't leave any witnesses.

I noticed that too.

I don't think anyone said she was the killer, they were saying she and/or her rich parents were part of the cult.

To be fair that didn't entirely come out of left field.

It started because there was a spiral drawing in Marty's home, among his daughter's art. So at the time people were wondering, why would that be there?

Come to find out, it was just a stupid production mistake.:francis:

Man this finale is about to be crazy. I hope Hoyt's people didn't have anything to do with his daughter or wife in the later timelines. :lupe::damn:

wow...just watched the last ep...I’m guessing they will explore how the wife died/was killed...I noticed old hayes had the photo she promised to return to the fat chic the next day in the 90s flashback...doubt she died of natural causes so young so my guess is she was murdered :sadcam: jumped in the thread late...curious to read comments re: the last ep tho
