I'm really not seeing why y'all think Roland has more to do with what's going on than what has been presented to us. Someone care to explain?
How else would Hoyt know about the Harris murder not even 12 hours after it occurred?

Look at how Harris was looking at Roland shortly before he was murdered. They didn't show that for no reason.

obvious to say, the last half hour was the most gripping of the season.
that shot from above in the street was a thing of beauty.

I don't think Roland told Hoyt anything.

Most likely, Hoyt had eyes on Tom, Ro and Wayne/his family the entire time. They knew they went to talk to Dan at the diner, the book meeting where they sent Mr. June, the meeting with Harris James in his office, etc.

I mean, if Hoyt and the police on his payroll are really trying to cover up the investigation, they'd definitely be tracking the people who were trying to solve it (Ro, Wayne, Amelia, Tom).

I'd be surprised if Roland ratted since he the one who murked Harris. I know he was pissed off at Wayne for getting him into the shyt when he just wanted to get Wayne's career back on track with the case.

No Whammies!!
Hayes getting into that car at the end of the episode is one of the creepiest things you will ever see on television. That barn scene was dope as fukk too bc like everyone said, it felt like a horror scene. We all expected Hayes to be the killer of Harris James, when it was Roland.

I actually rewound the scene to doublecheck what happened.
They BOTH shot him. Hayes got the final killing shot as they were struggling on the ground.

100% agree, but I can't get my head around why they killed the boy though.

They already suggested that it may have been an accident. If it wasn't an accident, then it was that the boy came back and saw more than he was supposed to and they couldn't leave any witnesses.
