yeah I agree, that whole seeing two ceiling stains and leading into that weak ass story about being trapped in the dark with some rats was weak. Al Pacino couldn't have made that shyt sound interesting. not some of True Detective's best work, lol.......

I'm struggling to watch this after binge watching season 1 to catch up. I gotta stick with it tho... Season 1 was too boss for me to give up.

I think the biggest issue is they failed to make the case itself interesting which is what kept me watching season 1 and then the character development slowly fed off that. This season seems to be the opposite, it's attempting to be all about the characters and the actual case seems irrelevant.

Man they need 'the villain' to pop up and get into the mix. I don't know if its the guy dressed as a crow who shot Collin or not but enough of the leads, their endless yapping, and their bullsh*t problems.. Bring the f*cking villain out!! That'll help the story and pacing cause as of right now none of these leads are worth rooting for at all.

Yeah, the birdman was probably a henchmen working for the top dog in the cult/organization. Episode 4 is when I think we'll see the mastermind behind all of this.

Yeah they need to flesh out the villian(s) ASAP and give us an idea of what is going on. Season 1 didn't have to do it like this because the case caught everyone's attention from the very beginning. I doubt anyone really gives a shyt as to why or how this S2 guy was murdered, so they need to draw us in with something more. Hopefully it's some creepy occult shyt, because I damn sure don't wanna find out the mob is behind this.

What's REALLY "whack" is yall are bytching about other dudes' opinions that differ from yours, as if you're not doing the exact same thing that you're accusing posters of [complaining about shyt you don't like]. Everyone that's posted in this thread is invested in this show in some way, shape, or form, therefore YOUR opinion has just as much value as the next man who's critiquing it.
