yea but now that Vince realizes he got ripped off from old boy, just wait until he starts taking action. they gave us a taste of it when he had his boys rough up that dude. it's only been 2 episodes.
yeah that scene gives me some confidence they are about to open up his character a bit. i've liked the season so far and havent been comparing it to season 1 but it has just been slightly above average to rate it. the VV opening was rough and it was disappointing for me because i thought that was a chance to let people know he could play the role but it was a dud (moreso from a writing standpoint in his defense)

Seeing how they set up the story so far... it seems like that happening now was necessary. We'll have to see how everything plays to know if that character being X'd out will bring the show down, but I don't think so.

With Ferrell's character out of the way, now there won't be any interference with the detective work on the case. With the 2nd episode we also found out that Vaughn's character basically had dude by the balls and he was going to be his puppet until the inevitable outlash happened between them. What I'm saying is, if you think about what was presented so far, the story may have been headed down a pretty predictable/cliche road. Now I don't have any idea what's going to go down.

:heh:

And that State cop is definitely :wrist:... I was skeptical at first after that Viagra scene, but after the 2nd episode there's no doubt in my mind that he's gay.

He's not dead though

Vincent O'onofrio (Vince Vaugh 2.0) would have been a better choice to play Vaugh's character.

He has the physicality and plays troubled people really well.

He could actually do that monologue some justice.

When I see Vince Vaugh all I see is "twinkle twinkle baby" :scust:

I thought the episode was great.

Its like people strictly binge watched season 1 and cant take a slow burn week to week.

And vince killed the opening scene I dont know what the fukk some of you are watching.

Dude with the bird head reminded me of one of the creatures from stephen kings the dark tower series.

I agree. I loved that scene.

i thought vince performed the monologue just fine...the problem was that the story was fukking terrible. "what's up with the water stain? oh yeah, i was locked in a basement and i beat up a rat...wahhh wahhh...papier mache." yeah, okay buddy. :comeon:

prime example of the struggle writing plaguing the first two episodes.

The writing can be a drag at some points, making it hard to watch but that's my only complaint.

The story is interesting, Vince is doing fine, and Colin is NOT the only compelling character. I wanna see where this one goes. :ehh:

I was just watching the last 10 min of episode 2, and I forgot to mention the horrible scene where Vince goes to the strip club to get info on Caspere, and the fat dude with the gold girl hits him with

'all these bytches thinking their preeety wooomen man' sounding like Viggo Moretensen in 'Carlitos Way' :dead:

'I hope this don't go unnoticed on your side Frank (close up of gold grill for third time)

horrible.

I'm struggling to watch this after binge watching season 1 to catch up. I gotta stick with it tho... Season 1 was too boss for me to give up.

I think the biggest issue is they failed to make the case itself interesting which is what kept me watching season 1 and then the character development slowly fed off that. This season seems to be the opposite, it's attempting to be all about the characters and the actual case seems irrelevant.
