i swear to god you all better not be in here bytching this whole god damn season. stop watching the show if you don't like it or have to compare it to season 1 every god damn episode

The cult of Antigone's dad looks like the kind of place where girls would go after they run away from home to get 'healed' or 'start over' in life. He brainwashes them and then, to completely 'unmake' the person they once were, bring them in touch with the psych where they'll get cosmetic surgery. Robbed of their identities and their life, they are then dropped into the occult underground sex circuit as prostitutes, which is where Caspere (frequent customer/possible middle man) and Birdbreh (ringleader/enforcer) come in. The missing girl from Ani and her partner's case is likely one of the victims.

Until I read this, I didn't even think about how weird it is to have a combined Plastic Surgery/Psychology compound.

The first twenty minutes nearly put me asleep. I am not still buying Vince Vaughn as the gangster. Every time he says "ain't" or uses a double negative I giggle a little. VERY miscast!


Uh, they didn't just kill the most interesting character on the show, did they? Are they going to Pulp Fiction this so we get more Colin Farrell or was he wearing a Kevlar vest?...or I'm thinking about he shot with rubber bullets? I can't help but think about the fact that someone was shot twice with a shotgun on an HBO series and there was NO blood at all in that scene other than what Ray sees on the floor while he's looking around. That last shot especially would normally make a pretty big mess right away, no?

Plus, I don't see me surviving the rest of the season. For me, his is the only character that isn't a total snoozefest so far.

The scene with Paul's mom was cringeworthy. Made me uncomfortable, but I couldn't put my finger on why. I hope Paul's issues are a little more complicated than Paul being gay and not being able to deal. ,,,,could be an incest with his mom, was molested by his mom or something...She was way too touchy and jealous over who he was dating.

Honestly, these stories didn't drag me that much yet.

Seeing how they set up the story so far... it seems like that happening now was necessary. We'll have to see how everything plays to know if that character being X'd out will bring the show down, but I don't think so.

With Ferrell's character out of the way, now there won't be any interference with the detective work on the case. With the 2nd episode we also found out that Vaughn's character basically had dude by the balls and he was going to be his puppet until the inevitable outlash happened between them. What I'm saying is, if you think about what was presented so far, the story may have been headed down a pretty predictable/cliche road. Now I don't have any idea what's going to go down.



And that State cop is definitely ... I was skeptical at first after that Viagra scene, but after the 2nd episode there's no doubt in my mind that he's gay.

farrell alluded to offing himself while at the bar...maybe vince vaughn sent a guy there to "kill" him (by shooting him with rock salt or whatever the fukk), hoping that making his life flash before his eyes will scare him straight?

it's a reach...but i'm just kicking around ideas. if colin lives there has to be an explanation for it...dude got shot twice with a shotty, once at point blank range...if somebody really wanted to kill him he should be dead.

From what I understand:

Vince's plan was to buy some land to get this high speed rail going

He had the city manager of Vinci that was gonna make that happen

City manager ends up dead without making the land transactions

Vince is fukked because all of his money is probably with whoever killed the city manager and his old mob ties had something riding on this deal and they're gonna want answers

Vince going back to his old ways, bringing the goons out to find out what happened

The city of Vinci had some type of agreement where they keep 75% of their tax revenues instead of giving it to the county

Of course, the state doesn't like that agreement, so they're using the city manager's death to investigate Vinci, which will result in a bunch of findings of corruption, bribery, etc.

The city manager loved prostitutes, so they're looking at any hos or escort services he may have used

City officials told Colin to make sure they don't get too close to finding out the fukkery involved in the city

Rachel's people told her Colin was dirty and he might try to play her

Riggins just wants his job back

and this is what i don't give a fukk about. vince vaughn character and story is fukking awful. i fast forward all his scenes

i think its good so far. still has me watching but im not running home on sunday nights to see it like i was with other HBO shows.

i like rachel, but im just not really buying her as a hard nosed cop just yet. i buy the woman with a fukked up past angle on her, but when she tries to act hard with colin's character it doesnt seem like a fit to me. maybe she's too pretty or ive seen mean girls and the notebook 1 too many times.

taylor is definitely on some repressed gay shyt. my guess is he got those burns when his fellow soldiers found out he was gay. thats why he just wants to be on the bike and doesnt want to work with anybody else. he doesnt trust people.

colin's character is very interesting to me. dude seems to really love his son but he's also a huge a$$hole. like somebody else said, he seems to be a good guy who did something fukked up and being in vince's pocket turned him into a bitter angry drunk. not just that but raising a b*stard that isnt his and then having the woman he did all of that for leave him. dude got handed some bad cards in life


jury is still out on vince vaughn's character to me tho . i can buy him as a gangster but when u have him open up with his feelings and talking about his past with that ugly ass redhead it feels very weak. maybe its just the dialogue.

overall tho its a good show so far. lets see where its headed before we call it wack tho brehs
