Please stfu with this stupid azz shyt. We saw his ex-wife in one scene for like two minutes. I don't think running off and leaving your husband and newborn for two months is handling the rape well.
2 months? Fukk u, with ya dumb azz. Why do u fukkturds quote me with bs defending this sh1t, it sux. Its worse than season 1. Shouldnt be an argument. The whole wife getting raped, him killin the dude. Her having the baby from the rape, this dude raising the rape baby. Its farfetched and stupid. Cant I have an opinion. Her rape was spose to be what semt him over the edge. Meanwhile, she's threatening for custody of a baby thats not his. She'll petition for a paternity test of Rape baby :mindblown: Then he begs her not to. Yall need to stop quoting me. Ive said my piece.

Go try and flush yourself down a toilet, lame fekket :pacspit:

Eh, it was alright. They threw a ridiculous amount of information at us and not exactly in the most subtle ways either. I guess they might have aimed to make this less vague than the first season but they might be overdoing it. And I feel there are some tonal issues what with them trying to recreate that creepy under the skin vibe of the first season (like the music which was brilliantly used there is just completely overblown and obnoxious here).

In this episode they pretty much beat you over the head for 50 mins shouting "HEY LOOK, THEY'RE ALL HOT MESSES,' leaving the actual plot very thin (and only actually moved through Vaughn's storyline). Really until the very end gave me hope that we're moving beyond lightspeed exposition I was really disappointed. They spent more time with all the characters totally zany issues rather than focusing on the weirdness of the case, so this first ep really doesn't have any of the mysticism or allure that last seasons first ep had. Other than the brief scene in the dudes house it just didn't have any of the spirit for the first season.

But, again, it looks like they could have got all of that out of the way and we can settle down into some shyt now.

you're coming repeat oscar nominees, where the first ep and most others were entirely focused on two characters, in a story that caught you up right off top

who's this murdered girl, what happened back then, what's happening now, what happened in between, what's this cult shyt, what's this show about... it pulled you right in

the second season is 55 minutes before you find out THERE IS EVEN A MURDER... you have no idea what you're being shown, why you're being shown this, or what it has to do with the story.. i mean what is the story? we still have no fukking clue... we just guessing on every single aspect besides names

so you can't come in off this ep, and even start to compare.. it's not gonna be the same type of show or pacing or plot... might as well think of this as a completely other title

All of these post touch on things that rubbed me wrong about episode 1. We even talk about it all the time in game of thrones. When you have an hour, it's hard to equally portray the motivations of multiple characters. Here we have 3 detectives + vince vaughn. That means, at max they can each get 15 minutes of screen time per episode. Trying to develop so many plot lines in an 8-10 episode season doesn't allow them the same flexibility as the first season.

In my opinion, it regulates the story to a cliche because as the characters are developing, we're all creating placeholders in our mind to look for the plot twist and connect the dots. I actually enjoyed watching Rust and Marty.

gotta bump my own shyt from last week :wow:

we all know that Hollywood is forcing gay characters into every show these days and Tim Riggins character may end up being that for this one brehs.

- the questionable paid suspension he got from pulling over the hot blonde that offered sex to him
- having to pop a Viagra and fake a 30 minute shower in order to get a blowjob from his girl

Why are we assuming he's gay?

Dude has a big ass burn, something he said happened before he went to war. Dude's not gay, he just went through some shyt that really fukked him up.

He seems like a straight laced cop that went through some serious shyt

I watched a cop pull over a blatantly dangerous (but ultimately, famous) actress for a stop that fukks him over more than her.

I see later that the same man's both literally and figuratively scarred from war, and can't turn down.

His girl trusts him and knows the drill somewhat, but she is tired of waiting for him to come around...not just in that moment of intimacy, but for their relationship in general.

He temporarily loses his sense of duty via media PR hush hush bullshyt, almost killing himself in a moment of sheer desperation and frustration, but he just so "lucks" onto a corpse...

...that very well may send him in a further spiral, considering it's just another call to action, and he's still not addressing his problems. If he can get overruled on a starlet's DUI, who's to say that they won't use his nature against him and bury him further with whatever shytstorm he just walked into?

I'm just saying. watch for it

- overtly homophobic story about hitting someone at the bank, even partner was like "you're trying too hard"
- his mom is creepy as shyt, weird vibes aplenty
- watching male prostitutes while drinking

There's still a slim chance it's just red herrings, and his weirdness is a result of a seemingly oedipal ready mother, and Blackwater war crime shyt...but you're probably right.

If you really that Farrell was dead after 2 episodes, I'm sorry your an idiot then. Would make zero sense for them to bill him as a leader character in this show and have him in key scenes already, only to kill him off. The first shot may have hit him because the second looks like he flinched.

Be gullible brehs

:laff: but you had to run to the web to confirm your thoughts

I thought the episode was great.

Its like people strictly binge watched season 1 and cant take a slow burn week to week.

And vince killed the opening scene I dont know what the fukk some of you are watching.

Dude with the bird head reminded me of one of the creatures from stephen kings the dark tower series.

I think the problem is everyone is comparing this season to last season. There was no way they were going to match that. The atmosphere/plot/mystery and the actors Matt and Woody, it's very difficult to capture that magic..

With that said, the writing so far is bad in some places but the acting is still there. It's not as good but you can't name five shows on television that have better acting. If you can, drop the names because I don't see it. Game of Thrones as a whole is better acted.. I would struggle to find more than a couple more.

The other issue is that it's two fukking episodes in :mjlol:

People in here saying they binged on the first season. Well, no shyt it's going to flow better when you binge. The first season did have some pretty slow episodes with exposition and monologues but people want to forget that.

Also, nikkas sayin that have no idea what's going on. Really? It's far from complicated. :what:
