I'm not saying it does. I'm just saying that there's legitimate reasons why some people walked away from that first episode thinking he was a self-hating gay guy is all. The subject matter and the way certain scenes were shot seem to be pushing that message. Maybe he is gay. Maybe he's not gay and they're trying to put his sexuality in question. Maybe he's not gay and in 2015 they succeeded in conditioning people to see gay everywhere.
Based off what I saw, if that actress chic ended up dead, I'd think he was a self-hating murder with serious sexual problems.

yeah I love Rachel but she's just too sweet and cute to pull this role off convincingly. Agree on Vince and Colin too and it was a bit of a dumb idea to have all those shots of each character looking depressed and somber ready to end it in some fashion. You do that when the audience know the characters and have followed them through a turbulent journey not when you have just been introduced to them

As for Paul (Taylor/Riggins) and his apparent homosexuality. It's pretty damn clear he's mentally not right. Maybe his whole left side being burned and scarred has something to do with it. I don't know, I wasn't distracted by the latina to notice things like that.

Look how long they lingered that shot, are ya'll saying we're supposed to take away that he was having war flashbacks or some dark past memory? After that big "look at me taking viagra cuz she wants to fukk" scene in the bathroom build up? And then he zooms off to kill himself right afterwards?

I noticed the knives, but I DIDN'T notice the duct tape. I think that was involved with why the guy was freaked out.
