people are bytching about vince vaughn and yeah him playing a mobb boss type is kind of weird but his dialogue was rough man. didn't seem like he was given much to work with.

More extreme emotional cops with extreme vices I see
Everything felt so forced even the scene in the bar with the girl singing the sad song(of course she wouldn't be singing something pleasant its True Detective after all) with the close ups and the looks of despair while drinking, smoking and snorting. I'm thinkin' 'Bad Lieutenant' all the way through. 
Hope the characters get better. None of them are likable so far. I see dude took the Bell, California(a LA suburb) corruption story and made it the backdrop. But I'm in it for the long haul though. Hopefully it gets better

Just watched. I thought it was cool for a first ep.
My only complaint was that the scenes were jumping around too fast at the beginning. I didn't expect that so I was a bit lost at first. Other than that I enjoyed it

Like the exposition - the hardboiled, pulpy dialogue is on a hunnid. I think most can agree with the notion that Farrell is looking like Phelps out there, the others well, we'll have to see if they sink or swim.
Did y'all peep the trailer before the series started? His character can be seen walking through a questionable
night club.
