yo this shyt gave me nightmares brehs. idk if its cause of all the coors lights i drank before i watched it and the combination of watching it in the dark on my phone with my headphones on, but i had some dark ass dreams :pachaha: i dreamed i was walking thru a field at night and wandered onto that murder scene :merchant:

it looks like a really good show. i loved what MM's character said in the car about life/religion. very deep shyt. looking forward to the rest of the season.

As much as I would love to argue about all the potential theories, there's no point yet because this episode did something quite amazing, it makes you second guessing everything. Not just the case, not just the detectives, everything. They did a magnificent job of making you immediately wary of the truthfulness and/or importance of every development, dialog and character.

HBO has a hit on their hands.
great episode.
Dont see rust as the killer......too easy.
rust is a tortured soul and the only person
that can dive that deep into the mind of
a serial killer.........yeah he makes others
in his field uneasy but they need him if they want to catch the killer.
it would be too much like hannibal if they went that route.

Hart says Rust is smart because he can figure things out, while most murder police only want to find forensic evidence and match it up with a suspect. Watch First 48, Murder police are lazy ass hell.

Well, he's doing something murder police don't usually do, which is profiling. Rust said the lady was a prostitute due to cold sores on her lip and the condition of her gums, this is classic profiling. Hart (Woody Harrelson) even called him out on profiling, telling him not to bend evidence to fit his narrative.

Even the Sex Crimes book Rust had is pretty standard text on serial killers, the fathers of profiling Robert Ressler and John E. Douglas wrote books on sex crimes and serial killers. They say torture and mutilation are only for sexual gratification and its a release, and off course they say it over and over again on Criminal Minds.

Him developing his profiling skills is only part of the story, what makes it interesting, they give use the beginning and the end. The rest of the show will be about the middle.

Good first ep but if Rust is the killer, or in any way tied to the killer, this is getting :camby: treatment because that's the laziest most obvious shyt ever. I doubt the writers would do that though.

Great first episode, can't wait to see where it goes. Too bad each season is going to have a different cast. Woody Harrelson and Matthew McConaughey have good chemistry.
