A couple of years ago, the actor who played Brody on Homeland called this "The New Golden Age of Television" and I think he was 100% correct.I don't think this model (other shows are going to follow) is going to have issues attracting otherwise expensive talent. I could see this being the new "doing broadway" between blockbusters.
Brehs, there are so many good shows, that I can't even keep up with them. I have to catch up on all the HBO series anyway, I still haven't seen SOA, Hell on Wheels, or caught up on the TV classics like 24. Add to it that great shows just keep coming out.
I'm done for.
