If they're keeping the tone of the show the same, I wouldn't mind seeing Timothy Olyphant or Sam Rockwell get a crack at it, nor would I mind Elba or Ejiofor, Fassbender. They should spend good money because the acting really drives the show. Tom Hardy would be dope too :ehh: seems like there is a lot of people they could get.

I really like all of your choices :obama:

This show is too f*cking good just :wow: It's getting better and better....This is the most intense episode.

I watched this episode on demand last night. There was an "inside the episode" after it and I think it was Pizzolato who said that this episode turned the narrative around; the first three episodes the narrative was mainly Hart, and this episode changed it to Cohle. I loved this episode because it really showed just what Cohle had to become when he was undercover.

It seems Cohle, Children seem to be his only silver lining, though I'm not sure why since they're just as much consciousness w/purpose or whatever the hell he's on about, as the rest of us.

I think Lisa did to Marty exactly what he'd done to her; he intruded in on her life, she did the same to him. Maggie suspected Marty was having an affair; in episode three she asked him, "what are you doing?" as if she wanted him to come clean, and he had a chance to, maybe if he had she would have forgiven him.

Cohle has no plans to bring legit justice to the situation. He doesn't want to jail him, he wants to end him, because he has no faith that legit justice will work. Those bikers may be dumb as shyt, but they almost NEVER rat, and if LeDoux worked that hard to go underground, they aren't going to blow him out, they'll do the time and shut the fukk up. Hell I'm pretty sure Ginger probably doesn't even know where he's at. Add that to the overall skepticism/disdain the bosses have for Marty/Rust and the fact that he had a ready made in to the gang, it made sense to me that this specific dude wanted to go out on the convoluted edge to get to LeDoux. Rust's middle name is convoluted edge.

The Michael Jordan line cracked me up

I like all of the actors mentioned and would love to see them on this but money would be an issue for 90% of them and as far as just doing it for the love....that's possible but it's also possible they have no idea this show exists, the show is 4 eps deep.

It's currently ringing bells in the right circles though. There's a couple actors from "Game of Thrones" that are fans, Rian Johnson is a fan....

Matter of fact I'm equally excited about guest directors as I am actors. Throw Rian Johnson on there, or Michelle MacLaren and Michael Slovis from "Breaking Bad". :ahh:

Me and my girl just watched the first 2 episodes (YES I'm late, so sorry if I ramble, and am a bit behind in the news), and so far, oh so very good. MM's character already has the potential to go down as one of the greats. I'm not sure yet if they (new cops) think he's responsible for anything (whether both, or just the newer killing), but I think that's way too easy, and when we do find out, it won't be him. Right now I'm thinking that the pressure to solve the (original) case caused them to get the wrong guy, so right now, I'm going with the same killer for both.

As soon as ole girl showed up, and Woody popped out of his chair and smoothed his tie, I told my girl they had something going on. And good LORD were them titties BEAUTIFUL. I thought it was interesting how Rust checked his pulse after the locker room confrontation. When we first found out that their partnership lasted only 7 years, I got a weird feeling that Rust ends up banging Marty's wife. Judging by how the dinner went (him staying when they agreed he would leave), to the comments he made in the locker room, to the obvious problems Marty and his wife are having, I can kind of see it happening. But then he seems the type that's got a singular vision (the job), and he turned the hooker down rather easily, so who knows.

Also, with all the mentions of the church/religion, and mentioning how the victim was going to church, and was thinking about becoming a nun, I thought it was kind of interesting that they introduced that Reveraed so quickly on the case. Maybe he's a person to keep in mind.

I'll probably watch the next 2 episodes tomorrow as my girl is tired and going to sleep. I may just go ahead and watch the first 2 episodes again after these basketball games finish up.

Also, the "bumps" of coke that they take are MASSIVE.

"Let me fish out 3.5 grams of coke to give it a taste"
[snorts it all]

I don't think this model (other shows are going to follow) is going to have issues attracting otherwise expensive talent. I could see this being the new "doing broadway" between blockbusters.

i dont think rust bangs marty's wife, i dont think the writers are lazy like that :yeshrug:
He was saying how important it was for the kids. He would never try to break that family up and confuse the children.

Also, Marty would be WAY more furious if that were true.

Some guy at work was joking about the kid's drawings and figurine gang bangs being the photos of mommy that the girls found.
