Nobody realized he was a cop in those initial 4 years, true. Crash, from his explanation, was as deep as deep cover gets. I wouldn't be surprised if it stopped becoming undercover for him at some point (Pizzolato could easily do another season focusing on those years). Then he fell off the grid, presumably dead, comes back with a some coke and stories about cartels and this dude Ginger is just like . I don't know if you remember the dude Miles that was mentioned but apparently he wants nothing to do with Crash (or vice versa). I think Ginger would be putting himself in the hot seat trying to explain how he believed Crash was who he says he was, he kidnapped him and then...what exactly? "The undercover cop kidnapped me and then just let go, but I didn't say nothing, tho" Plus, are these guys really going to go after a cop like that?
And the whole 90 seconds thing is inconsequential for me, but I'd love if we one day got an indepth mini-documentary on the behind the scenes of the whole thing to put these questions to rest.
fukk the children
Those red necks are fukking crazy man. Rust had grenades and the K because he expected someone to come after him from his past.
I'm not saying that's how the story will unfold but Ginger ain't the brightest bulb so I can imagine him running his mouth about Rust, getting killed, and whoever is left from his group wanting to kill Rust for playing them.
As far as season 2, I guess they plan on changing out the actors every season. If they do that they should still have Rust and Marty around, even if it's in the back ground for a few scenes.
