My point is people need to prepare for the worst.

Houston is huge, but one thing natural disasters are good at is exposing the problems in a city.

One thing I know for sure is that a lot of people don't have flood insurance. If peoples home gets flooded, don't expect to be made whole by uncle Sam.

Not having gas will be the least of your worries

You said this before the storm hit. Hope people took heed.

Don't fall for the okeydoke. They did the same stuff in Florida last year for Matthew and all a nikka did was lose pauer. News folks love to stir stuff up and get people afraid. Y'all Texas fam will be ok. If not, y'all stupid for listening to me.

You said this before the storm hit. If anybody listened they were stupid and you have blood on your hands.

I should've bought food:snoop::snoop::snoop:

I'm curious what your thought process was prior to the storm hit. When people were rushing stores for food and water did you just watch tv and laugh?

checking in with my coli fam. still have power. rain heavy for the last few hours. water creeping up on our front walkway, courtyard basically full.
grandchildren came to stay with my elderly neighbors, just saw the grand son in law out by the garage smoking weed.
puppy getting stir crazy, wants to go outside and play. Husband getting antsy as well.Only have real food to last through dinner tommorow.
news and situation is stressing me. Currently having a drink. Yes i know its just noon.

Did no one buy supplies? Why?

Parts of Pearland are under water. Parts of my street is flooded. Im too scared to leave my house despite my job asking me to come in at 630am this morning.

I know the demands of the medical field but fukk that shyt, fukk I'm gonna do..paddle a boat to work? Them nikkas just gonna have to make it without me in that situation.

I'm also glad that you're safe and secure dear.

@Hawaiian Punch ofcourse i bought supplies silly.
i have plenty of non perishable storm supply items
i was talking about real non canned food.
i usually make groceries on Sunday and didnt buy extra meat
heading into the storm because i was/ still remain concerned about losing power
we lost power for 3 or 4 days during the Memorial day storm.
so nobody in my house will starve or go thirsty.
just wont have a deelish full dinner like every other night of the year

real food >>>> crappy canned goods and processed food

I'm good bruh. I'm not stocked for the Apocalypse and I'm far from starving
Quick question: how will this hurricane/flooding/tornado affect real estate prices in the HTX area?
Good question when you remember that all of California is moving down here
