My point is people need to prepare for the worst.
Houston is huge, but one thing natural disasters are good at is exposing the problems in a city.
One thing I know for sure is that a lot of people don't have flood insurance. If peoples home gets flooded, don't expect to be made whole by uncle Sam.

I'm curious what your thought process was prior to the storm hit. When people were rushing stores for food and water did you just watch tv and laugh?
checking in with my coli fam. still have power. rain heavy for the last few hours. water creeping up on our front walkway, courtyard basically full.
grandchildren came to stay with my elderly neighbors, just saw the grand son in law out by the garage smoking weed.
puppy getting stir crazy, wants to go outside and play. Husband getting antsy as well.Only have real food to last through dinner tommorow.
