if these fukking newscasters dont stop with the "oh we just need a little time for it to drain"
" soon it will start to drain"
what the fukk are you idiots talking about? its still gonna rain for like 5 more days
stop trying to give the people the idea that everything is gonna drain real quick and we
will be better tommorow
:why:
shyt like this happening really puts how helpless we all are in to perspective

Maybe helpless is the wrong word but all it takes is for something like this to happen and we're fukked just that quick

A week ago these folks were going about their life without a care in the world and then shyt can change just like that

Spooky how life can go

Took them years to fix just some of these potholes tearing peoples cars up. They prolly gonna takes decade to get better drainage.

These bayous not deep enough. They stay getting overflowed.

I remember YEARS ago that there was talk of draining them motherfukkers just because of the flood risk but white folks didn't want to disturb the local "habitat"...man fukk that.

My uncle told me that most of the family moved further east to Liberty after Hurricane Alicia and Bonnie KO'd them in the 80's..they won't move anywhere close to HOU metro at all.

After this..the state and local governments need to stop the goddamn bullshyt and upgrade the city wide drainage systems (from 10 year to 25 year) in HOU. Too costly my ass..You better sell some bonds, you got a fukking responsibility to your citizenry to protect the city as best you can.

Actually the real reason for the increased flooding is wetland erosion and environmental damage... But that's corporations and businesses killing the earth so that won't ever be fixed
